What do you like to post on FB?

I think there was another thread on this or else it was at another forum. I post lots of things about animals. Some good and some disturbing. I'm going to reduce the amount of disturbing ones I show because it has been bothering some people. What do you post of FB?

I just share funny things that my friends have posted. Of course, right now I can't think of one to give you an example. Something else I share sometimes is videos of The Carol Burnett Show. I very rarely share anything political.

I post what I am doing, where I am and where I am going. It's a good way to keep in touch with family and friends when you don't see or talk with them frequently and they are wondering if you are well and still alive.

I post a variety on FB. Photos (mine), politics, social topics, interesting articles on different topics, jokes, travel updates, book/film reviews.

I am in several FB groups - Americans in Scotland, members of the defunct Eons group (seniors group), free thinkers, a photography group.

Mostly photos of late and sometimes political articles. And today, a video of the waterfall in my backyard, which I spent hours working on to get it ready for the season. Tiring, messy work cleaning lots of small rocks. Got a great workout from it. First time I've gotten the pump working (that was easy), but I had no idea how much work would be involved in cleaning out dirt and debris that had collected over the years.

I like to post funny things, too.

I post the same things as you but am going to change up and just post positive stuff. I am in the Parakeets group. lol

Yes, it's a good way to keep in touch with family and friends. My family doesn't post much on FB but I like to see what they are doing when they do post. Otherwise we don't have a lot of contact.

I pass on funny things, pictures of the new baby, and pictures when we're traveling.
My family posts things like that.

It's nice to see what people are doing when they post pictures. I enjoy them a lot.

I'm feeling burned out on posting anti-Trump/Cruz stuff so I'll give my friends a break. I post pro-Bernie stuff. I like to share humorous stuff or quotes that make you think, or just smile.

FB is how I keep in touch with lots of my family and friends who live in other countries.

We pay enough for internet so keeping in touch with all the people around the world is a smart thing to do. I, too, am tired of posting anti-Trump junk. Those quotes are fun to read.

I've created lists of friends on FB. Created one called politics for friends I knew would be interested. So when one friend complained about all the anti-Trump posts from her friends, I created a list and only shared posts to my politics friends.

I'm tired of hearing about him though, so I've pretty much stopped.

Wouldn't know where to start.

I've seen some stuff on Facebook through links on here, but I'm afraid, like Twitter, it's a bit of modern comms that I can't get to grips with!

I've tried and tried but got nowhere.

I have a FB account but don't use it. I am pretty private when it comes to stuff like FB and Twitter. In fact, I have more information and images on here about myself and interests than anywhere else. I just don't trust internet security enough.

I use Facebook to keep in touch with family. Though it is mostly just reading their posts. Thankfully, my eldest grand-daughter posts pictures of her children, for her mother and I, almost daily...for we only get to see them once a year.

I'm of the same mind when it comes to FB and Twitter. Had accounts, but closed them some time ago. I see relatives photos on Instagram.

Facebook is my oyster. I post almost anything and everything. I post funny pet stuff, I post childhood sexual abuse stuff, because I'm a victim, I post spiritual quote stuff, no religious stuff ever, EVER! I post Wiccan and Pagan stuff. I post political stuff and herbal medicine stuff and global warming stuff. I post extremely personal stuff about my dysfunctional family of origin and about relationship difficulties and about mental illness and, and, and. Now with all that said, I have a very select group of FB friends, most of whom I've met on other online venues and who I have a lot in common with. I don't have a ton of FB friends because I gotta have something real in common with my FB friends to begin with. I'm basically an open book, the result of a family of origin that threatened me if I dare tell any family business outside of the house.

Wow, you could be my Tasmanian friend's twin!

I joined FB in 2007/08 soon after we went to Uganda to live for two years. It was the best way to keep in touch with family and friends in the US, UK, Australia.

Quite a few people have said that they use FB s it is the best way to keep in touch with family. I was wondering why it was better than email or messaging which is also more private?

Speaking for myself, I like FB better because of all the other features it offers. I can "like" or join other interesting pages and therefore get interesting or fun posting in my news feed. Then my FB friends and I can share these postings back and forth with eachother. Nothing is totally private online any more, if ever. With FB we have the option of choosing our audience and therefore achieving a degree of "privacy" I find FB quite fun.

I share photos with family and friends and they share with me. Can you image trying to choose which friends and family to share which photos with by email?

When I was first on FB I was living in Uganda. My nephew's wife was in labor with their first child and my sister's first grandchild. I was excited about this. FB became a virtual maternity waiting room. Other family and I were 'chatting' while waiting for the birth. When the baby was born my nephew shared a photo to FB. All of this would have been very complicated to do using email or texting.

It is very easy to post videos we've made or photos we've taken to FB. Too time consuming by email.
