Does Anyone Know About Crowd-Funding?

Awhile back someone brought up the idea of "Get a Fridge for Fur". I don't know how the crowd funding sites work but I'm all ears. We just put groceries away. Fortunately we still have a bar sized fridge. But for a house of four people...it's a bit tricky to say the least.

Sorry I don't know much about crowd funding except for someone who was raising money for his wife's medical expenses.

Do you have online craigslist in your area? They have a free section that often includes appliances. Many here are from remodels where they are in good working condition.
Another way I've seen is to post an classified wanted ad for "Fridge for family of four who can't afford one." You might be surprised at the offers you receive.

Don't know much about crowd funding, either. BUT I know that sometimes around here people will have a good working appliance that they've replaced for one reason or another and will gladly give the older one to someone who will just come and take it away. Look at your local classifieds. I once got a great washing machine that way and it worked for years. ALSO, look in your local thrift stores to see what's there.
