Is the TV show Family Feud a fraud?

If you don't know, in the Family Feud game show, one family competes with another family to guess the dumb choices of a survey of 100 men or women.

My best guess is that there is no survey at all! The show writers are making up the answers. How would anyone know? It is hard to imagine people sitting
down at their computer or something and giving answers to their usual silly questions, often embarrassing ones about sex. Maybe some younger
women would do that. That would also explain why the survey answers are often so odd and not even common sense.

This is supposed to be a family show but it is no longer. I just can't see real people taking this seriously.

I understand they do phone surveys for those questions. I tune in sometimes if I'm in the kitchen doing something, it's just a game show made to be entertaining and bring a laugh, which it usually does. I like Steve Harvey and agree the answers don't always make sense, but who cares, it was meant to be silly. I don't know of anyone who takes these TV game shows seriously.

In the past a few times I've participated in surveys at the mall. That could be one source for the surveys. I do not think it's fraud.

I would imagine many of the folks answering the survey are familiar with the show. If they know that's what they're responding to, some of them might try to come up with "unique" answers, just to be cute. Or maybe it's multiple choice?
