Movie Recommendation: Money Monster

Went to see "Money Monster" yesterday afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed it. George Clooney and Julia Roberts work well together. Here's the premise for the movie:

Lee Gates (George Clooney) is a Wall Street guru who picks hot stocks as host of the television show "Money Monster." Suddenly, during a live broadcast, disgruntled investor Kyle Budwell storms onto the set and takes Gates hostage. He tells Lee that he lost everything on one of his tips. As Gates tries to plead with Kyle, he's also using an earpiece to communicate with his longtime producer (Julia Roberts) in the control room. Together, they must figure out a way to defuse the situation and disarm the angry young man.

Nice directing by Jodi Foster.

I saw Julia being interviewed on the news today discussing this film. I'll keep it in mind. I like suspense.

Totally channeling Cramer. He's so manic I can't watch him. Clooney is a bit over the top, but it's a great parody of Cramer.

It's perhaps a stretch to think that someone would do something this crazy, but I liked the movie. NY Times gave it a good review.
