Ladies, another reason I think a man invented the dreaded bra!

I've been saying for years that a man must have invented the bra because they are so uncomfortable. But, now I'm almost certain I'm right because of where they have put the adjustment on the straps today. It used to be in the front where we could get to them easily but now, I haven't been able to find one like that anymore. They all adjust in the back so if it isn't high or low enough, you have to take it off to adjust it which is crazy! Every one that I have now all adjust in the back and I hate them. I can't reach back there and adjust it without having to take it off. Then, I have to guess how much to adjust the straps and 99.9 per cent of the time, it isn't right and I have to take it off and guess again. I always hated wearing the things and this doesn't help. I would love to "burn the bra" but I guess I'll keep wearing them and hating them. I say a man came up with this idea also! :mad: Ladies, how do you like this type today?
 

The ones that are the worst are "push ups"...usually front opening so half of you spills out. Then bottom pads for that extra oomph. If you're a A or B cup they can give a nice boost I suppose. If you're over a D cup you just want something strong enough to contain them.

I hate those front opening kind too! I just don't wear one hardly ever unless I'm going out where it is obvious!!!!

Just a side note on topic...I was getting my daily exercise and was browsing a local resale shop. I did find like new Sketchers...fifteen bucks, perfect treads why not? But the most amusing...under sleepwear they sell any number of " Boost your yays" everything else. Maybe the population is low income but somebody is stylin' in the bedroom. All I could think was I gotta pass the name of this place on to guys who like to do drag.

Funny how things can be "obvious" without necessarily being factual.
 
This just in from Texas...

A scientist from Texas A&M University has invented a bra that keeps women’s breasts from jiggling and prevents the nipples from pushing through the fabric when cold weather sets in.

At a news conference announcing the invention, the scientist was taken outside by a large group of cowboys and had the s--- kicked out of him.

Yes, that's what I meant because usually, it's men and children that don't wear them so they have no idea how uncomfortable they are.

Actually, I miss the days when women went braless or without any top! Those hippie girls, where have they all gone...

Here's a perspective that may not have occurred to all the ladies who hate their bras. Bras are designed in many instances by engineers. I did a Google search 'are bras designed by engineers' and you get lots of links to look at. And it stands to reason because bras are all about support, lift, tension, etc., Then when I did a search to find out about how many women engineers there are, it seems that while there are lots, there are way more engineers that are men.percentage-of-femal-engineering-students.png All of which might explain why women's bras might do the job their designed for, but aren't necessarily comfortable.

Men don't real care about stats when it comes to this subject except for certain ones...��
 
I don't have any first hand experience of wearing a bra, but it strikes me that if you find them uncomfortable, you've chosen the wrong one! Now my OH who does have years of experience in this field, is very particular about choosing bras for comfort and fit.
She also changes them regularly because they do stretch and lose their shape and support. But I do understand your original point, that the adjustment is at the back. Still, that's another job for me.
