Better stock up on VCRs as Japan is going to stop making them. Surely you don't want to be caught short in case the one you have breaks and you can't watch your old movie collection of Batman films...

We've dumped all of our tapes, although we have one VCR that still works.
 
Yep, I have mine, and I also have my changer, cassettes, and CDs. Can't have enough stuff...:D
 
Earlier this year we threw away all our VCR tapes except family stuff. My late father-in-law had a ton of family recordings which we saved when he passed away. Donated all my CDs to the library. Still have a combo VCR/DVD player, but can't remember the last time we used it.
 
I've got a collection of family videos, going back perhaps 30 years. This past Winter, I backed all of them up to DVD's...knowing that the days of video tape are probably numbered.
