How is your summer going?

Were having a lot of rain and will for the rest of this week. When it isn't raining the humidity is higher then the temperature. No break in the evening, it's just as humid. Grass is growing out of sight. Hear the lawn dude now. Our street floods, and we have to ware shrimp boots to get the mail. :love_heart:

Marley, are you in Louisiana? I hope you're not in the area with the most awful flooding. I feel for all those people in the worst of it. I don't know how I'd cope if I lost my house anda everything in it.

I'm finally pretty near back on my feet, as long as I watch what I do. With six weeks left here in the mountains, I'm hoping I can get some gentle hiking done before we leave. There are several waterfalls that are calling my name....

Sounds just beautiful. I hope you do get a chance to fully enjoy it. :love_heart:

Mild with rain at times. No need for AC here, but we haven't needed heating either.

I've never fully adapted to the heat down in Texas and would probably have to consider moving into a fridge if I had to live without AC. Summer is going well though. I enjoy long, coolish nights and days on my porch, with a few good books, the internet and take my dog for walks. Could be worse I suppose.

It's rarely too hot or too cold here. I live on the other side of Scotland to Ameriscot, but the temperatures are very similar. Occasionally it will reach 80 F. in summer and sometimes as cold as 5 F. in winter. However, it does tend to be drier on the east as the weather mostly comes from the west over the Atlantic. Forecast for today is sunny 20-21C. / 68-70F.

Our area is one of the wettest in the country. In our immediate area we very occasionally get snow but it melts within 24 hours. We did have some spells of really nice weather this summer, and yesterday it got into the low 70's. Nice today as well.

There has never been a need for AC here, although once we had a long spell into the 80's and I actually had to turn the fan on! :D I keep a fan here for when I do my home workouts. We are more likely to need a fleece or at least a sweatjacket in the summer than a fan. But palm trees grow here and there are a lot in my area. Gulf Stream.

My summer is going great, I did not work at all so I am very happy about being able to keep my own hours. I have been eating a bountiful harvest from my garden all summer and I am not done yet. I actually expanded my garden this year, it worked out well. I prefer raised bed gardening. I wish the deer would leave my fruit trees alone. You know I haven't hunted in a long time but if one more deer steals an apple from one of my apple trees I will be serving venison for supper.

I got my truck running good, it was missing a bit. I spent lots of time with the grandkids this summer. That is always a treat.

So in contrast the summer of 2016 has been a very good thing for me.
