My Second Date this time with Eddie

Eddie came over today and made me a delicious spaghetti dinner. I baked the garlic bread sticks in the oven. We talked and ate while my birds flew over our plates and Suzy sat and begged for food. We watched an Eric Clapton concert on youtube on my computer and talked about how we might have more fun together one day...hmmm. We are planning on going out to have Chinese Food close to where he lives next time; I will meet him there. He left me a lot of spaghetti and sauce in one of my containers and I'm sure I'll be eating it for a few days at least. He was really laid back and sweet and that is what attracts me to a man. He drove 40 or 50 miles to see me and made me lunch and was so sweet and not pushy like so many men I've met before. This man has liked me for a long time. I've always liked him too as a friend but now it may be leading to more than friends. We will see.

Ruthanne, it makes me happy to hear such a nice story. Isn't it great when someone isn't pushy and we can let things happen at their own pace.

Nice, Ruthanne. Take it slow. He sounds like a good man!
Well, we have known each other for 44 years so I will say that we have taken it pretty slow..lol

Take it slow? Jeebus, I wouldn't dare give anyone else advise. but I'm 70 years old and I don't have time to take it slow. Janis said it best.

Great song Hoot!

A long time friend who can cook...definitely a keeper, best wishes girlfriend!
He is just so sweet and a good kisser, too, our second kiss was not just a peck.

I never heard that song before! Janis had such a short and troubled life, what a talent she was!
Yes, she was great!

Yes, it is really nice that way.

He can cook? Hey, if he also cleans up the kitchen afterward, hang on to him....he's a keeper.
He wanted to clean the kitchen but I wouldn't let him. Told him I'd throw it all in the dishwasher.

Sounds like he might be a "winner"! Old friends can be the best of friends and more!
Yes, he is a real nice guy.

Believe me if best buddy had liked girls...oh we would have been perfect together. A house full of rescued critters but yup perfect.
Yup!

I'm really happy for you Ruthanne. To think, he's liked you since the '70's LoL. No wonder he's so nice to you. I hope it all works out great.
