A simple poll of forum members: Our present makeup

In response to a thread started by Ralphy, I thought it might be interesting to get some info on the makeup of our group. Trying my hand at something simple to get started.

Political, economic, racial? Ask Matrix or SB to get a poll set up, maybe?

I thought I'd get a prompt to set up a new poll, but maybe don't have permissions. I don't seem to find that option unless I'm missing something. Tried to delete the thread, don't find an option for that either.

This thread will help Bob. https://www.seniorforums.com/showthread.php/323-How-to-start-a-new-topic-(or-post-a-poll)

There are lots of How-To's on the main forum page. Forum Support & Suggestions is a forum dedicated to forum use. At the beginning of the forum are numerous Sticky Threads of common instructional topics.

Poll: Make up of our forum

Found the Poll option. It is at the bottom of this page. Here, I will make one.

OK, did not work, can an ADMIN delete this post? Let me try again

It's supposed to redirect you to a page to create the poll, but even though I checked the box at the bottom of my initial post, it didn't go to a page to set up the poll. It occurred to me that perhaps my browser read this as a popup attempt and blocked it. I'll have to try again in a new post. Sorry for all the confusion here. Essentially what I wanted to do was try my hand at creating a simple poll (something along the lines of gender, age range, retired or not, etc.) before doing anything more robust. I'll give it another go in a separate post.

To add a Poll to your thread
To add a Poll, after you write your post, go underneath to Additional Options. Then select (check) Post A Poll. Add the number of answer options you want for your poll question and then click submit reply on your post.

After being redirected to your new Poll, fill in the information, number of answers, amount of time for poll to stay open, multiple choice or not, public or private. Then you can preview the poll for review and submit.

It's supposed to redirect you to a page to create the poll.
Yes, after you click the button "Submit New Thread", you will be directed to the page to create a poll, not pop up.
