Florence Henderson, Mom on 'The Brady Bunch,' Dies at 82

Too young, now that I am almost her age. But at least she went fairly quick, which we all hope to do...
 
Sorry to hear that. Nice to read so many kind words from fellow-actors, they seemed to have many positive things to say about her. Sounds like she helped to make the world a better place. RIP.
 
Very sad news. I was thinking today that it's easy to dismiss a show like The Brady Bunch but for many my age she was our "TV" mom and I'm sure there were kids who at the time watched the show wishing that their homelife was just as safe as the Brady's home was.
 
Was sad to hear this. I wasn't however a big Brady Bunch fan. Liked Alice the most.

I heard she didn't have a happy childhood herself but overcame it.

I'm guessing Alice enjoyed leaving that house once in awhile to go over to Sam's shop.
