101-Year-Old British Man Convicted of Child Sex Offenses

LONDON — A 101-year-old man in Britain has been convicted of sexual offenses against children, becoming country's oldest prison inmate.


A jury on Friday found Ralph Clarke guilty of 21 counts of indecency and indecent assault on two girls in the 1970s and '80s. The former truck driver had admitted nine other charges against a boy.
Clarke was taken from Birmingham Crown Court in central England to prison to await sentencing on Monday.

There's another kiddie fiddling scandal starting here where kids have been abused by football officials. It would seem that the Romans Catholic Church has not had a monopoly where child abuse is concerned.

Away from the real point, but do you think his birth records may be inaccurate? Someone at 101 year of age looking to be in late 60's sounds rare.

No, he'll be 101 alright. Birth records over here are very accurate.

Because the two ladies concerned only came forward because they were so sickened to see the fuss being made of him for his birthday.

He has shown no remorse, and the judge says he is looking at a double figure sentence. He, the judge, will be very surprised if he is ever released back into the community.

One could say it is justice at last, but he has led a full life and his victims haven't.

As he was found guilty of 30 offences that's a tariff of a year for each 3 offences, or four months for each time he assaulted these little girls.

I don't think his age should be any mitigating factor. He belongs in jail, however old he is.
