A most unusual dream last night

I woke up this morning from a must unusual dream. It was evening, and I went to some sort of Quickie Mart. In and out in a few minutes. Apparently I knew the people as I had a conversation with one. When I left I noticed my car was missing, seemingly stolen. SO, I went back into the store but was told "Sorry, we cannot help, we are closing" and they all locked up and left.
I could not get 911 on my cell phone. No one around, but suddenly people started showing up. No one would help as they would either not call 911 for me, or said they did not have access to it on their phones. A cop came, but he would not help, as it was not his job that day. One friendly couple, pulled guns on me.
I was getting more and more frustrated, then some guy said he would use his special equipment to get me help. Suddenly some futuristic military type helicopter flew in and landed. Guess what, they would not help me locate my car.
Oddly I woke up to my phone ringing. Weird.:playful:

Wierd is right, Marie! I bet you were glad to wake up! Sounds like the type of dreams people have when they use Chantrix to quit smoking.

Well, I do not use Chantix, but find I have vivid dreams after I take a particular OTC antihistamine for my allergies. Maybe that is the connection.

Weird, Marie! Did the emotions of the dream (feeling frustrated) stay with you for a while after waking up? I've read articles about dreaming and the subconscious that say we shouldn't try and make sense of, or try to find meaning, in dreams. But many of my dreams are so vivid and filled with emotion that it's hard not to question them. Other dreams are just so crazy and disjointed that I wake up feeling amused and oddly entertained:shrug:

How upsetting for you Marie! :(

It sounds like you tried to recover something valuable that was lost or stolen, but no one will help you. A car might represent freedom or independence to some people, but all the symbols in our dreams are personalized just for us.

I promise, if I were there I would make those cops do their job and help you! (I hate bad dreams, they often cause a mood or sad feeling that stays with me most of the day)

All I know is I was feeling anxious all day.

When I have a weird dream like that Marie, where I'm pretty much on my own, maybe threatened and nobody is helping me, I just am glad that I didn't get really hurt or killed in the dream, now that would be a nightmare. Dreams can affect your mood all day long I agree, good or bad.
