Hi everyone. I live in south eastern Pennnsylvania with my husband of 52 years. Yes, I'm an oldtimer, will be 79 in a few weeks. WHERE did the time go! We have two sons and two granddaughters.

Now 'semi' retired from the business I started forty years ago, I look forward to participating on this forum. My main interest (to start, at least) is to play some word games. Trying to keep the mind active!

I look forward to learning how to 'navigate' here, and hope any errors I make will be corrected and forgiven. ~ Joyce

:welcome: To the forum, It's a great group of people here. I'm also fairly new here and still figuring out all the bells and whistles.

I grew up in Pittsburgh.

Hi, Gammy, and welcome.

Hi Vivjen, thanks for saying welcome.

Glad to know there are other 'newbies' here. We can all learn from each other's mistakes.

I do participate on two other chat rooms. Found this one accidently while searching on Google...and thought, what the hey... maybe there will be some folks close to my vintage.

Thanks for the welcome, Hipster...
Yes, those aches and pains are a pain! Just slipped on the ice a few days back and landed on my tailbone. Ouch

Welcome to the forum, Gammy. This is a good place to hang out. There's a bunch of kids on here so you'll have to overlook them.

Welcome to the forum, Gammy, from Wilkes Barre!

I'm pretty sure Drifter is referring to me, as I'm one of the babies here - I'm 55 years and 10 months and, and, and ... a couple days, I think.

Hi there Fern, Appreciate the welcome
Falcon ...you're having warm, snowless weather I hear. Not good for those ski resorts up North
Drifter...thought this was a place for 'Seniors' ! Ya mean there are kiddos here!

Well I haven't staggered over 70 yet but intend remaining a kid for as long as I can get away with it. Growing up is still optional.

Welcome to our World Gammy and hope you fit in as well as our other newbies. Oh, seems you already have. I woke up late.

:welcome:

See....I'm not too old to learn. Just found page 2

Hi there Viv...(Jenny). I wouldn't want to behave like the teen I was...oh my

A few years ago I worked in PA for 10 weeks. I worked for ES&S with voting machines and we traveled all over the states...anyway I was in Wilkes Barre and I remember that the head of the board of elections there was very strange, think his name was Leonard something.

I also worked in Chester county and all I remember was that traffic was horrible.

We went all over PA but we were so busy that I didn't get a chance to stop in Pittsburgh.

Hi Old Battle-axe... you wake late...I wake early. To bed after viewing Jeopardy, up for coffee around 4:00 am.

BTW...may I change the time of posts on this forum. There's a five hour difference. It's 5:36 here, but screen says I post at 10:36

CC that traffic's not horrible in Kennett area on our eleven acres, unless you count the deer, groundhogs, foxes, coons, feral cats etc.
