Ex NFL Star/Criminal Aron Hernandez Commits Suicide. Previous Conviction May Be Voided.

Criminal and ex professional athlete/NFL star Aron Hernandez apparently has committed suicide in prison a week after being acquitted of 2 other murders. Another murder conviction for which he is prison may be voided since under Massachusetts law a criminal who is in the process of appealing his case dies in prison the conviction can be voided since the defendant is not around to pursue their appeal. Hernandez had appeal in progess for his 2014 conviction.

Never really knew of him before his conviction. But I guess guilt just got the better of him. Just how long the rest of his life in prison meant. This all could have had a better outcome if he had just thought first before acting like an ass.

I'm not sure I'm buying the suicide part of this.

I am reminded of the old "joke" about the Sheriff that finds the body of a young man when they drain a pond. 3 bullet holes in the back of the head, hands handcuffed behind him, wrapped in logging chains - "worse case of suicide I've ever seen"...

I am reminded of the old "joke" about the Sheriff that finds the body of a young man when they drain a pond. 3 bullet holes in the back of the head, hands handcuffed behind him, wrapped in logging chains - "worse case of suicide I've ever seen"...

They're saying he blocked his cell door from the inside so it was difficult to open and hung himself by tying his bed sheet to the window.

I guess the idea of spending the rest of his life locked up like an animal after having had it all was just too much to bear.

Murder? Who knows. If his involvement in the gangs was as prominent as they say perhaps a rival wanted revenge for the killings he was just acquitted for. Gangs make enough money to bribe a prison employee to get them in or actually do the hit for them. Can't drop any tears.

The voided conviction is most troubling because they say just the mention of a criminal conviction would've helped seal a civil trial verdict. The family of the first victim has an upcoming civil suit in which a criminal conviction for the same act cannot be entered into evidence and would/will have to basically retry Hernandez as the culprit to gain a verdict and money.

I feel the same. Who murdered him and who covered it up?

Most of us will never really know what happened. I remember years back when what appeared to be a clear case of violent murder was suddenly and bizarrely declared an accident. It was a long time, big time booster of a certain big time college football program who was out on bail over some of that. He was vowing not to have to serve his 6 month prison sentence, so the conspiracy theory was that he was going to sell out that football program in some kind of plead deal to avoid prison and he was beat to death to shut him up. The accident was that he fell and hit his head (over and over?) while going past a half of dozen phones in his mansion (both up stairs, downstairs, and on the stairs) before finally passing out and bleeding to death. Once the police declared it was an accident, within a day or so his body was cremated and the police were done with it. This was after the police initially declared it was a violent murder scene. This all happened in a matter of a few days so it smelled... but who knows what really happened? That's the way it is, you never really know about most things.
