The longest trip I can manage is to drive to the shops and back so I think you are pretty safe from me 'dropping in', especially from a balloon bike. :lofl:

I wouldn't do that under any circumstances.. It just isn't proper and it would show my character.. Either you accept a guest, or you don't, but one NEVER treats a guest with anything but the utmost of respect and dignity..
We accepted her here and we did our best.. She was in trouble all the way and we tried to make her stay as comfortable as we could.. Eventually she realised it was time to go ..
Had she wanted to stay for another day or so, we would of definitely of agreed to that.. You don't send someone home that is in pain to live alone.....

Neither would I Steve, unless that person was taking advantage of me.
My husband had a friend who asked to stay a night and stayed 3 weeks and there was nothing wrong with him. He continued to do this periodically for years until I told my husband he better say NO the next time. The thing was we never knew in advance, he would just show up.
He also loved my cooking.

You just have to realize that people will take advantage and it's just foolish to let it continue, but if that's your thing then do it and don't complain about it is how I feel.
