Did you or would you have cosmetic surgery, because of your age?

When I turned 50, I had blepharoplasty done to both eyes. This procedure removed the fat sacks below my eyes. It made a 100% difference. I would advise anyone considering on having any plastic or facial surgery done to do your homework and see more than one doctor. As some of you know, I was a pilot for United and I flew the non stops from east to west coast and vice versa. I met another pilot in LA that introduced me to his doctor and from him, I learned that he had done work on quite a few big names, so I gave him the job. I was either very lucky or he is very good because the surgery came out 100% to my satisfaction and with no scars.

This is ironic that this question has been posted because I just talked to him again last week and he is going to remove the waddle under my chin and on my neck. He doesn't come cheap, but he e-mailed me some of his work and I checked him out pretty good. The best thing that I noticed is that he has never been sued. I am having the surgery done next Tuesday, 7/11. No hospital stay, but I must stay out in LA for 3 days and return to see him before I depart.

All surgery has risks so I would not take the chance but I don't care if others do.

Yep! I've had numerous surgeries for broken bones, joint replacements, kidney stone removal, carpal tunnel, etc. Been really lucky and feel good enough to play golf 6 to 7 days/week. Every time one goes "under the needle" there is a risk. I'll wait for needed surgeries to assume that risk. Won't be doing any elective surgery just for cosmetic purposes.
