I caught two bass. Not big but they'll make a meal for us. It starting raining about 4:15. A good rain that we really needed.

BTW where is Fishwisher? I haven't seen any posts from him lately.

Fishwisher posted last on September 17th, so hoping he's just been busy. https://www.seniorforums.com/showth...amps-!-This-is-just-nuts-but-it-worked-for-me. I think we only caught Bass once, are they really thick skinned or have large scales? All I remember is I had some trouble cleaning them.

I love a fresh fish dinner too. Spent time when I was young saltwater fishing, and we used to catch flounders, fluke, red snapper, blowfish, kingfish, bluefish, porgies (too bony for us, but neighbor loved them), etc. Now we mostly catch trout in rivers and lakes.

TWHRider, I'd take rain over drought too, any day. Providing my house isn't floating away. :p Drought is so hard on farmers and animals, Texas has had a rough time for several years now. Hope you get a nice amount of the wet stuff. :rain:

Fishing was better yesterday. We caught 8 crappie and one bass. As I was pulling one of the crappie in it suddenly pulled a lot harder as it got close to the shore. As I started lifting it out of the water a bass had it in his mouth. I'm gonna hafta get some stronger line and try to catch that bass.

Years ago I caught a crappie that weighed over three pounds. I believe one of the ones I caught yesterday was a lot bigger.

3 lbs are good un's. I use to fish a lot then drifted toward hunting only... Gotta get back to fishin' some,, I grew up on the lakes in E.Tn....
Keep reeling 'em in!!
