Driving While Texting, Speaking On Cell Phones, Shaving, Applying Make Up Or Eating

Yes, or you could get in a freakin' wreck!

Goes like this: Why are you pulling over, Grampa?
Because I can't focus on driving with idiots in my car! And we're gonna sit here until every one of you turns back into a regular person.
(timidly) Ok, Grampa, we'll stop.
You better, because if I have to pull over again, it'll be into your parent's driveway!

Usually works, because usually we're off to have a good time.

LOL, exactly! :playful:

That's too funny, but point well taken!

Over here we call them mobile phones. It is an offence to use one while driving and if caught will get a hefty fine and points on your license. The authorities are trying to make driving laws stiffer by banning smoking, eating while driving. Lots have had their license taken away for being caught more than once.
In spite of the stiff fine for using phones many still do and there has been several fatal accidents caused by people using phones while driving

In my new car, the handsfree bluetooth works well for calls, and Apple CarPlay allows me to dictate texts and it reads incoming texts. Never have to take my eyes off the road. It's rare I'll eat in the car. I like to keep both hands on the wheel most of the time.

My iPhone will dictate texts but if it doesn't hear me right or if a word is not in the data then errors occur that have to be corrected by hand. What kind of car do you have?

2016 Volvo XC90. The microphone is very good and the software reads back your message before you send it. If there's a problem, you can re-dictate it. Works well.
