Doubletalk Specialists

Are any of you entertained by Doubletalkers?

The greatest doubletalker of all time was the legendary Al Kelly, (1896-1966), the "Duke of Doubletalk".

Go to Youtube and select the interview he had as a guest on the Ernie Kovacs show.

Another more recent master of the art is Durwood Fincher, who acts as a serious interviewer, completely confusing those he is "interviewing". Look at their facial expessions as he plays with their heads!

Kevin King's doubletalk interviews are also funny.

Reminds me of Professor Irwin Corey (who, by the way, died in February of this year at 102).

Mlburn Stone's Spoonerisms"

You didn't hear the part where Cinderella had to spend her days "flopping the moor" while her 3 "sisty uglers' spent their time "Cheating Ocolates" and "Magging Readazines".

But when Cinderella came home from the ball, her "sisty uglers" didn't even "Cinderize Recognella"!

I assume you understand how Spoonerisms work.....)

Another classic example of the Spoonerism was when a Hollywood reporter became so flustered when meeting actor Walter Pigeon, that he blooped:

"Mr. Privelege, this is indeed a Pigeon!"
