Did you receive some nice gifts for Xmas ?

I only received the one gift pictured and it was sent to me by a very warm, generous, caring and kindhearted person here on SF .........in reality I suppose it was more than I actually deserved.

In Scotland a lump of coal at New year given as a gift just after midnight is a symbol of luck to bring you warmth for the coming year

The actual tradition is that the first visitor over your threshold after midnight on new years eve should bring you, a lump of coal ( for heat)..a piece of bread ( for food)...and a swatch of salt ( for wealth)... so just be thankful for your lump of coal that you may never be cold for the next year...lol

Among other gifts, I received a "My Pillow", which I used for about a half hour last night, before going back to my old, comfortable one.

It was a big, fat pillow, and was so firm that it didn't allow my head to sink deep enough to provide a good alignment with my spine. My wife also got one; hers was "firm", and mine was "medium". She slept well.

My old pillow was thin and yielding enough to provide the alignment that I needed for comfort.

That's it!

I received a renewal of my CAA roadside assistance card. I really appreciate it because I am out on the highway alone a lot.
With the card membership I can call for help if I have a vehicle problem.
Makes me feel more relaxed and confident when driving.

In Texas we have an emergency road service call number on the back of our drivers license..

Everybody knows that I like gift cards to Kroger, Walmart and MC. And also got some early for my birthday which is the 31st. For so many years when I was growing up what I got for Christmas was also for my birthday. I never felt like I got a birthday gift. Now my kids and brother and sister send me a separate gift for my birthday which is a nice change!

Been waiting here for Santa for over two days now and still no sign of him. Got cold and hungry the other night so I ate all the milk n' cookies and set the fruit cake on fire to stay warm. Going to hold out as long as I can.. :apthy:

Davey - - -that's Santa in your beach shot and that is your "present", walking beside him. Now aren't you sorry that you complained???

I don't really need anything but did get a lot of gluten free cookies and snacks because I generally don't take the time to make my own and I think they are way to expensive. These gifts were much appreciated. The one item I did want and sort of hinted about and complained about all year long was an extra long cord for my Kindle that I got from my daughter. I was going to buy one but found all the different types confusing. Now I can plug it in easily to charge without reaching over the table between our recliners.
