Are you happy that it's over with ? Was it a good or bad year for you ? I've had bad years that I wish I could forget ; but all things considered , 2017 was fine for me. Our health is okay , no out of the ordinary financial problems , we've met some nice people along the way , so I guess I have no complaints.

How was your 2107 ?

Me, I am glad it will be in the past!! Looking forward to 2018!!

I guess that I am not a normal human being. My mind/life does not mark time by the New Year.
Life is continuous and so is time.
I have had good things happen and bad. I dwell on neither enough to categorize them or put them into a chronological box.

I guess I should consider myself fortunate that y life is boring enough not to have events traumatic enough to cause me to label any specific period as good or bad.

I can't tell the difference between December 31rst and January first without flipping the page on the calender.

Sorry Gary O !!! That's the 2nd time I did that today ! It's happening more often ,too. Now I can use that for an excuse when I write my age as 46 .......not 64 ...LOL

Not necessarily...years are just tick-marks in the continuum of life.

(On the other hand, you have four fingers and a thumb)

2017 was so good for me that it just went by too quickly!

For me, it started on January 20, Inauguration Day!

2017 has been like More than one year could possibly hold ...so many things have happened in 2017 that it's hard to believe it was all just 12 months, and although some of it was fun..and in 2017 I took early retirement...thank goodness finally done at last ...but a large majority of the year my health has been compromised which is ongoing ...so I'm really hoping 2018 will bring a much better and healthier year for me and a whole lifestyle change for the better for my family...

Can't complain, 2017 was a good year, met some nice friends here at the residence;
my health is stable, still have Callie my cat, still have my car, my family are nearby
and ready to help when asked; so yes, 2017 was a good year and hoping 2018
will be the same.

I don't regret the passing of any year!

What I do regret is the speed with which each year
is passing and each new year passes much faster
than the one before,

If I could arrange the speed to be the same as the
years passed during my 30s & 40s, that would be my
choice.

Mike.

2017 had a lot of challenges for me so in that regard I'm not sorry to see it go, but 2018 could be worse. I never see the passage of time as cycles of years. It's a long journey and you never know where you're at at any given moment.

I feel the same way Mike, time is flying so quickly the older I get I don't look unkindly on any length of time in my life anymore. To all who have had a bad 2017, I wish you a hopeful and positive new year in 2018. :love_heart:

No real complaints about 2017 but so looking forward to 2018 as my wife will be retiring in the new year - w00t! She'll finally be able to do the things she likes to do and have the time and (hopefully) energy to do them. She enjoys reading, sewing, baking and things like that. We'll also be able to do more things together which will be a nice change. So, yes, I'm more thrilled to see 2018 coming than I am to see 2017 going.

I will be happy to see 2017 go. I have one adult daughter and she suffered a divorce and a devastating medical condition. That affected us all. Goodby 2017. I'm not sure 2018 will be any better, but I'm hoping. :)

Yes, I'm so ready for 2018! The year 2017 has been annoying to say the least. Nothing important, just little things, but lots of them, every day, always something going wrong to keep you upset. I don't think changing the date will magically change anything, but it might change my mindset. It's a psychological thing. LOL!
