Remember the movie "Fargo"?

"Fargo" (1996) is on my list of movies I watch over and over.

At first I thought the scene was kind of a filler....but the Coen brothers (or any other good directors) don't do fillers. There had to be a reason.

My take: Marge was an excellent police chief, but she was naïve when it came to people sometimes. She wanted to believe Mike was an engineer, she wanted to believe his story about marrying Linda. When he broke down in tears it was awkward, but Marge felt bad for him.

Then she found out that he not only lied, he had deep psychological problems. So, maybe that's when something clicked.......she felt something was "off" about Jerry (William H. Macy). The missing car that he said wasn't missing....the call that someone made to Shep Proudfoot. So Marge went back to pay Jerry a visit, and he got all rattled. Yer darn tootin'! :)

At the time I thought maybe he was introduced to add another suspect element but that didn't really make sense.

Lots of unrelated components that came so well together

Somewhat like cleansing yer palate ‘tween scenes

McDormand was great, but Buscemi and Stormare simply rocked it

Very good movie

Watched it three times
