Which doctor to see first?

I've been having digestive system problems for a few weeks now. I waited to see if it would resolve on its own, but doesn't look like it. I was wondering if it would be better to see my GP first or go right to my gastroenterologist.

Just like Terry said, I'd go to the gastro guy first. You will probably end up there anyway. Might save a couple of dollars if you have a co pay.

I would see the GP first because it's more than likely he can take care of your problem unless you have been seeing the Gastro doc on a regular basis for your problem.
