How to cut & core a fresh pineapple

I love a few pieces of fresh pineapple for breakfast, or for a late night snack. So good and lots of vitamins.

Keep in mind after you cut your pineapple, you'll have quite a bit. Put half in an airtight container and FREEZE it - it keeps well for a long time. :)

C'est Moi, I was thinking about getting one of those tools for coring; they're not expensive. But appears to waste quite a bit of fruit (in another video I watched).

Couple weeks ago Kroger had fresh pineapples on sale for 97 cents! That's very rare - they're usually $3 - $4.
I picked out a nice big ripe one, peeled/cored it, and I took the remaining half (which I cut in large chunks) from freezer today.

I should have bought 2 and froze after coring.

I suppose so, AC. But it saves me from having to deal with most of the "eyes." :D

I never need to worry about freezing pineapple though that's a great tip. My husband is a fruit hound and will make sure there are no pesky leftovers to deal with.

Applecruncher, will definitely buy fresh now instead of canned since you say it can be frozen....I like that idea of just a bit at a time.
