Embracing the second journey

I have been retired for about 3 years. I took a little time to think about what I would like to do on the second phase of my life. I worked thirty five plus years in the field of Early Childhood Education in one area or another. I now use some of my time as a child care consultant. I have decades of information I can now share with those who work in childcare (owners, directors, teachers, assistants, volunteers, etc. I love assisting potential providers and helping them get their business up and running and helping them get around the obstacles and over the hurdles of owning, operating and teaching in the field of child care. I may right a child care providers handbook. I have a passion for animals and training dogs, so I'm looking for a best friend.

I hope to make a lot of new friends!!

Hi Ina, you are my first reply!! I passed through texas years ago. I never know where life may carry me because I love traveling. I love technology so I'm on the computer a lot and I want to learn how to do things on my computers. I really admire perople that are computer literate. I hope we speak again and thanks again for being my first reply.

You are really that guy. Because if you are near water (oceans, bays, lakes,etc) I'm sooo jealous. I love sand, sun and sea!! I lived in the Bahamas for 2 years and I tried too stay but I could not find a job.

Vivjen is the first syllable of my husband's name, and the first syllable of mine...easy really.

Wait till Diwundrin appears.....she is in Oz and will be up fairly soon....and Ceecee will be back I expect...
 
recareering, Your welcome. There are some real interesting people here. Stick around for awhile, and you'll find many of us that think as you might, and some that you mighy like bantering with. I am the most unknowledgable online person the creator ever made.
If you want to speed up the, "getting to know you", bit, just go read some of the older threads. That is what I did.
So, you were a teacher, I'm already intimidated. :dontworry: :cart:

Ahhhh, the life of a beach bum. Not so easy, these days. But, at one time . . . easy.
