Do you have Baker's Cyst in your knees? I had never heard of it until my doctor told me that's what I have in my knees. A Baker's cyst is a swelling that can develop behind the knee. It is filled with synovial fluid which is the lubricating fluid that is usually found inside the knee joint. It most commonly occurs if there is an underlying problem with your knee such as osteoarthritis but an injury to the knee can also cause it. I have it in both knees from arthritis. If you have it, how do you treat it and what works best for you?

I have OA knee and one is worse than the other. But don't have the Baker Cyst thank goodness..do a google search on: Remedies for baker's cysts. And yes people do get these but I've missed that one. Wonder why your doctor didn't give you any instructions on what to do.

Yes, I had a Baker's Cyst and it scared the crap out of me! It was an injury that I "thought" was healing; but, NOPE! Had arthroscopic surgery, cyst went away, and all was well for many years. Until... Well, I got older and then arthritis...

does anyone on the forum take coconut oil?--i just read it will help you loose weight and also helps your thyroid

Why don't you post a separate post on Coconut Oil. It's lost in the Bakers Cyst thread. Yes I do use Coconut Oil for many reasons. I like it for starters and it's helpful for thyroid support and can help with memory issues. Losing weight I just control what I put in my mouth.

There are least 2 threads in the Natural Medicine Talk forum on Coconut Oil.

No I don't, and like you I hadn't heard of it. I hope you are able to find some effective treatment.

Thanks! I have searched online and found cold helps with the swelling so I have done that and it does help.

You know this, but you are lucky to not have it. I still like to see what is helping others that has the same problem. In other words, "First hand experience".

What do you do to help you? I know with mine, it comes and goes. I will have a flare up and then when it finally gets better, it may not bother me again for several weeks, etc. and then here it starts again. Then I start using cold packs on it and it helps.

Several years ago when my doctor ordered a battery of tests looking for circulation and or nerve problems for my numb feet they found a Bakers Cyst behind one of my knees.....it doesn't bother me at all and I hope it stays that way.

Oh, the cause of my numb feet is caused by diabetic neuropathy.

Sometimes the back of my right knee hurts...that line where it bends...don't know why. Other than that I have no knee issues at all.

my pain is lower back and left shoulder. :(
