Possible child-sex-trafficking camp found near Tucson, Arizona

" But the camp this group found on Tuesday night, May 29 near I-19 and Valencia was suspicious. In their eyes, it didn’t look like a typical homeless camp.

The group found several suspicious and disturbing things, like trees that had restraints on them, a crib, a stroller, in addition to hair dye, an outdoor bathroom and pornographic material.

"And we are right there and our city is right there, our children are right there and it's not my problem if it's not in my backyard," said Arthur. "Now it's in our backyard."

On Thursday afternoon, May 31 Tucson News Now toured the area with Craig Sawyer and Jerry Peyton, a former Navy SEAL and Tucson firefighter, to get their thoughts on what this camp might have been.

"I didn't expect to see something this heinous and inhumane this close," said Sawyer. "I served in the military to keep things like this from happening here that's why I risked my security, so nobody here would have to put up with this."

" Veterans on Patrol stumbled upon the encampment in Tucson, Arizona on Friday, but it wasn’t a typical homeless camp.

In the middle of the desert, they found trees with restraints on them at the site, children’s clothing, a baby crib and stroller, an outdoor bathroom, pornographic material, hair dye and a five feet tall underground cave that had a dresser and crates. The cave the was not big enough for an adult, but a child could easily fit inside. "

Frightening story, KingsX. The 2 articles did not mention WHO ran the sex-slave camp. If you should happen to hear who, please let us know.

Other information I've read says authorities are dragging their feet.
That makes me think it might be connected to your border topic

Houston, Texas has become a mecca for sex-slavery because
it's a huge urban area close to the border.

" Esperanza — whose real name is being withheld for her protection — had become just like the more than 19,000 sex trafficking cases reported in the US since 2007, according to the National Human Trafficking Resource Center.

The site says more than 2,600 sex trafficking cases have been reported in the US this year alone, most of them in California. Texas ranks as the nation's number-two sex trafficking state, on the website.

A 'crime that happens in third world countries'

For the uninitiated, it's hard to imagine that thousands of young people — overwhelmingly women — have been kidnapped in Mexico or elsewhere and taken against their will to the United States, where they serve as sex slaves. "

 I suppose "close to the border" is subjective. But... 350 miles??

The first thing to consider is... thanks to decades of an uncontrolled border... that border has moved north.
Texas is now heavily Hispanic. Anglos have been the minority for over a decade. Violent gangs, drugs and
sex-slavery pour over the porous Southern border.

To quote the CNN article... these are crimes that happen... "in third world countries."

Here's another quote from that CNN news article I previously linked:

"People see Houston as a hub for human trafficking because of its proximity to the border," said FBI special agent Suzanne Bradley. "It also has access to the I-10 highway corridor, which goes across the country, so if they're smuggling people in and trying to get them into human trafficking in other areas of the country, it's very easy to get them on that I-10 route and disperse them throughout the country.
