Hi Dan, love the picture. Have heard good things about the Vulcan as a hardy and durable bike. I probably would not return to the Harley world instead moving to something like the Honda Goldwing. Comfortable, stable platform with a reverse. But, it is heavy and as I get older I seem to get shorter so will have to watch those inclines.
I've heard the Goldwing is the ultimate touring machine and if I was taller I may have found a good used one at one point, just can't justify the price of a new one.
I tend to prefer the backroads and only hit the big highways or interstates like I75 if I have make time. I see you are in Texas, probably a year round riding season compared to here. You can't lean them and again not cheap, have you checked out the new BRP Can-Am Spyder Tourer? They are made in Canada and cheaper in the U.S. (burns our Canadian butts).
