Bought 4 new pillows...made my day

You know you are an adult when buying four new bed pillows makes your day. My old pillows were sent to the trash bin. They are called "down alternative". Not sure what that means, but they sure are nice. Not top of the line, but they sure feel soft and comfy. I will check back in tomorrow morning to see how the night went.
 

I won't be able to sleep tonight because I'll be thinking about this. :) Please give a full report tomorrow.
 
Oh I'm a freak for buying new pillows..I buy them at least every 2 years..and we use feather and Down..

Not bad at all. Pretty squishy but nice. No pillow fights, LOL. One thing I found that just sleeping on 1 was enough, usually I double up. But once we break them in, it may be time to double again. Got them at Walmart.
 
Glad you like your new pillows Marie, I'm using the My Pillow because I got tired of my memory foam and my neck started hurting in the mornings, but I don't love it. Hubby is still using his memory foam but close to wanting a change too. Have a few pillows in the basement that we didn't really start to hate until we started using them, I hesitate to buy a new one these days, they're so pricey and not always comfy. Are you a side sleeper? What was the brand name ?

I've heard about others who are not thrilled with My Pillow. I started to buy one at Bed, Bath & Beyond but the price was a deterrent. I opted to buy pillows that I thought would be very similar to the heavenly ones at our timeshare home resort (and other hotels apparently) but they turned out to be a bust. I complained and got my money back...they did not want the pillows back. I sense they'd gotten plenty of other complaints.
Marie...what's the brand name of your pillows?
 
We considered the My Pillows, but have heard so many mixed reviews we decided against them. At $45 a pop, we'd want to LOVE them to death. I saw a review on YouTube (will have to look up the pillow and post it here) that combined buckwheat pellets and foam pellets, and the guy loved it. When I get the name of the pillow, I will add to this thread.

I have some similar to those, I have the extra firm and I have the striped ones which I ordered on line, (link below), they work perfectly not too firm, each were under $5 and are most comfortable for my neck and back they are the ones I will from now on turn to whenever I need replacements. It does flatten out a bit, but, it works for me.

I've purchased more expensive, but,I always woke up with really bad neck pain.
