How Often Does Your Doctor Require You To Visit?

I have been on a six months cycle since my blood pressure went up to 145/88. It is much lower since. Disregarding any serious health issues how often does your doctor have you visit?

Since I have no major issues I see my integrative MD once a year, maybe twice. If I didn't have to keep my BP and thyroid meds up and I believe she needs to see me once a year at least. Your BP changes every second with every thought, every food etc etc etc...so the numbers you mentioned are not terrible. They could be lower at many times during the day or night. Even dreams have an affect.
 

There's no requirement to visit our GP in any period of time. I know people who haven't visited their doctor in years. I suspect it's because we don't have to pay.. because the dentist which who we do have to pay for.. requires us to visit at least every year but preferably every six months!
 
I go once a year for the various Medicare screenings, etc. Knock wood...that's about the only times I've been to doctor in years....with the exception of when I had a kidney stone about 2 years ago. I get a thorough eye exam and new glasses every year, and go to the dentist every 6 months for a cleaning and checkup. Most of it is covered by the insurance...so, since I'm paying for all this insurance, might as well get some use out of it.
 
I have a friend of a friend who is my age and he's NEVER seen an MD. He was raised in christian science family, but he does do alt work like chiro and other body work.
 
The past couple of years I gone to my dr's office once or twice a year,to get the flu shot. I haven't seen him,usually one of his PA's,Jennifer who is very nice. I'm in good health as far as I'm concern, knock wood!
I have my eye exam every yr around the same time,go to the dentist twice/yr Sue
 
i have to go to the doctor 3x a year--just to have her write out my prescriptions--i have menieres disease so she only gives me 2 refills that last 4 months
 
I never go unless I have a problem. The last time was 3 years ago when I had Poison Ivy that over the counter meds wouldn't take care of. I'm sure if I went on a regular basis by now I would be swallowing dozens of meds with a million side affects. I'm sure my time will come but for now I''ll enjoy the freedom of not having to live in the doctors office.

Oh I'm sure the more one goes the more they will find wrong if they can. I see only an integrative MD so already work with a lot of supplements...and a couple of meds she writes for me.
 
Know someone who recently went to a new doctor and was told the doc didn't like or want a patient that just comes in as needed. But the patient sees so many specialists and has had home care and therapy they're averaging contact with the medical industry 2-4 times a month.
 
I go once a year for my annual physical. I have no health issues, bp normal, blood numbers OK, so I'm not on any meds. I have a mammogram every year, bone density test every couple years, I should see the dermatologist once a year, but I'm a year behind on that. Colonoscopy every 10 years. I seldom see the doctor other than for my annual. I think the last time I needed a doctor was several years back when I was dealing with severe foot pain...turned out to be plantar fasciitis.
 
I go once a year for annual physical and then I go in the fall to their annual flu shot clinic but don't actually see a doctor then. Other than that she suggests (doesn't require) and I usually ignore the suggestion
