Alec Baldwin arrested for punching a man

Celebrities behaving badly-again.

I get it nobody's perfect but when one's living is from celebrity shouldn't a person be more vigilant and disciplined to avoid this type of incident/publicity. Baldwin is no spring chicken either. He's at the point the next scandal or incident could wind up being the final blow to his career.

I also remember is disgusting tirade against his little girl years ago.

Some people never learned how to deal with anger. Some celebrities don't care how their shameful actions may affect their career.

Remember when Russell Crowe hit hotel employee in the face with a phone? Aside from report that the person got $$ never heard details. Bet the guy Alec hit will also get a nice chunk.

I think Alec called his little girl a fat piggy or something like that on the answering machine. How can she ever forget that?

I saw him recently on Seinfeld's Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee and he seemed real nice. I was surprised. I guess he was on his good behavior that day. I agree he is a good actor.

I remember Alec in Knot's Landing, Married to the Mob, and he was really good in the movie Malice with Nicole Kidman.

He called his daughter a rude, thoughtless little pig and went off on a tirade. Entire message is online.

Hi Applecruncher,Alec never was on "KNots Landing',actor,William Devane was, sometimes these 2 actors get mistaken for each other. I don't have a picture to upload to compare the two Sue

Alec Baldwin is a really good actor. So are his brothers Stephen, William and Daniel. That said, he's not a very nice man. He reminds me a lot of my ex, who did similar things, had major anger issues, and used intimidation, sarcasm, belittling to keep me and his kids in line. Alec Baldwin definitely has some personality deficits, and it doesn't surprise me that he keeps popping up in the news in yet another incident.

Wrong.

I beg your pardon, MQ, but if you do some research you'll find that Alec Baidwin WAS on Knot's Landing 1984 - 1985 for 40 episodes. He played a character named Joshua Rush ... a nut who was the son of Julie Harris' character.

Yes, I know who William Devane is, (no need to post a picture), he was also on Knot's Landing as Greg Sumner. I wasn't aware people mistake the two - Devane is 20 yrs older than Baldwin.

Bet y'all don't know he was on General Hospital early on

I don't know why I know that, I don't like soaps or Alex...but, he's a pretty good actor, plays characters I love to hate, must come natural

I think it helps in ways, you know, the dirtier the better, gets in the headlines

Well now...I can’t either.

Turns out it was Tommy Lee Jones on One Life to Live.

(Heh heh)

Think I’ll stick to what I know...what I think I know gets murky...r-e-a-l fast

But thanks for riding along

...and I wonder why my lady sez I never listen

Okay. You may keep your crown.

Yes, there WERE lots of actors on KL during the run of the show.

I hope if I was ever rich enough I wouldn't use it to pay off my bad behavior.
Aside from his anger, I've always liked Alec Baldwin as an actor. He can play many different personalities.

I wonder why so many of these show biz celebrities seem to be nuts in private life. Is that kind of behavior caused by the intense pressure cooker they live in, due to their jobs? Or is it that jobs as performers seem to attract
a disproportionate number of people who are disturbed in the first place?

I would go with the latter. It seems they need much more attention than most people and adulation/fame seems to make them too full of themselves.

You find the same thing among professional athletes, many who have been pampered since childhood. Their bad behavior has been overlooked by parents, coaches, etc., who have pushed and carried them along for their value as athletes and the money that they can make - -for themselves, their families, and the college and professional teams that have signed them.

I've always felt that Alec Baldwin's performance in Glengarry Glen Ross was his best.
