Thanks prairie dog for suggesting I have a look in here.

I recognise several names of members even at 'first glance:cool:

I will write more about myself at a later date.

As threatened... I took early retirement in 1990 at the age of 47 after performing 28 physical, (30 -pensionable ) years police service ; leaving due to a medical condition. Since 2000 I have been sole carer for My Beloved wife who suffered a Cerebral Haemorrhage and stroke in 2000 and is invalid. I have been in many forums but usually have little 'staying power' for one reason and another and I hope I feel able to 'stay' with friends in here. On the other hand you may 'kick me out,' though I am not the vociferous trollish type of chap.

I'm sorry to hear that your wife has suffered a stroke, I'm glad you're able to be there for her and care for her. My husband's father had a stroke which paralyzed him, and we moved both his parents into our home so we could care for him, rather than placing him in a nursing home. His wife was not able to do it herself, as she had health issues also. I wish your wife well, and send warm thoughts your way.
