Couple months ago friend and I went to McDonalds for coffee and I got a sausage McMuffin (no egg no cheese....$1). Then I decided I wasn't really hungry so I put the sausage McM in the freezer. About a week later I saw it and thought it would be icky. But I put in microwave.....it was great!

So.......Last week I got 4 sausage McMuffins and put in freezer. If I don't feel like fixing an actual breakfast I just heat one ....surprised how well they keep in freezer, no sealing, just in its own wrapping. I dressed one up with fried egg, and that's pretty tasty.

Oh, in case you're wondering, No I didn't get body-slammed, and nobody grabbed the girl at the counter. :lofl: Next time maybe I should ask "Does the sausage McMuffin come with a McBody slam or is that extra?"

Great idea applecruncher,I did that a few years back with hamburgers. For some reason we kept getting coupons for free burgers. Every couple of days I stopped in on my way home from work and picked them up. I froze them and when I had enough I added fries and a drink and we had a feast on a day I didn't feel like cooking.

The McDonalds McMuffins and a "Senior" cup of their coffee, make a great breakfast, or mid-day snack, IMO. Whenever we head for the city, about once a month, we stop halfway there, and I get one of these treats. My favorite is the Sausage and Egg McMuffin. I don't know how healthy that would be on a regular basis, but one every few weeks is great.

I buy a giant pack of Injeras, at my favorite Mid East grocery store, cut each round into quarters, stack them, with waxed paper between each quarter, then bag them in ziplocs and pop them into the freezer. Using just a butter knife, they separate out very easily, for the next three months, and when I pop a few in the microwave, for a minute, they're still delicious. In the old days, before I came up with freezing them, the pack would go bad, even in the fridge, within a week, and I'd waste more than two-thirds of it.

Back when McGriddle came out a former coworker got addicted to those. I tried, it was good, but not for everyday. Little bursts of syrup in the bun as I recall.

@ treeguy64

I had to Google Injeras. Hmm.

OMG - you're in TEXAS! The good Mexican food. I'm jealous.
I had some deep fried burritos when I was in Southern California.
Makes me wanna

Cinnamon toast (toasted homemade bread)
Dripping in butter
The term 'slather' should be applied

I just discovered a Kroger brand breakfast biscuit sandwich I bought on a whim. Very good and 60 seconds in the microwave. Why speed is necessary in my retirement is still a puzzle to me since I have no schedule, By the way, why is it call "re"tirement? Did we "tire" somewhere in the past?
