Everyone thanks for your welcome. I want to share with you what I am going through right now. Last year I fell leaving a Kroger store and I have injuries.Shoulder both knees and spine. I have no insurance so I have to wait until October when I get Medicare to get surgery and treatments. Kroger offered me $100 and they should be so ashamed. This has cost me employment and Kroger should be so ashamed of the way they have handled this. I am alone. and I face this pain and stress everyday while Kroger talks about their customer service.I am on a marathon to get back to normal and maybe enjoy the Golden Years.October seems so far away but I have no choice.Have a good day everyone.
 
I had about the same thing happen to me at Walmart a few years ago. As i walked past the ice machine, there must have been a bit of water, and I slipped in it. I crashed down on my back and head; and the shopping cart fell on top of me. After i could breathe again and move, they helped me out to the car, and said they would contact me to help with medical costs. They called later that week, and explained that i had to have a full doctors exam, showing that there were no prior injuries to my back before they would cover this injury. Like you, I had no insurance, and no money to even go to the doctor.

They do have insurance. but NC is a contributory negligence state and they are protected. This has destroyed me and I am very worried and alone.

I will not get compensation or my medicals taken care of. This is North Carolina and they have a old law called contributory negligence which means if you get hurt you will not be compensated. I am unemployed no insurance so I cannot get surgery or treatments until October when I get Medicare.I am total alone facing all of this stress and pain and Kroger could care less.I am on ss and it is not enough. I need help to get through all of this and there is none. Kroger should be so ashamed.
