I think it's lovely when men open doors and pull out chairs but sadly it's a thing of the past and I can understand why men don't offer anymore.
I've tried holding doors open for men once or twice just to see their surprised faces. And I smile and I'd wink at them too but that might be sexual...

Having said that ... I've always wondered if an umbrella can act as a conductor during a thunderstorm .
I've never been fond of alcohol so never knew what to drink and so only drinked to be sociable.
I never fancied that feeling of 'losing control' or getting so drunk I was ill.
I got pocket money for doing jobs and errands ... the idea to teach me the value of money and how to budget.
I remember once wanting some particular toy and mum got me to work out how many weeks I would need to save and watched me put money, every week, into a little piggy bank.

I've passed both of mine .. one 1921 ... the other 1923.
My poor dad never knew his own dad as he died 3 months before he was born.... dad was born in 1921.
Oddly both died just before they reached 50 .. so one was born 1871 and died in the year his son was born in 1921 .. and he died a 100...

Blimey, it wears me out just thinking about all the stuff I'm supposed to do, and eat and not drink or not eat or not do.
I never had this problem when I was 20, or 30 or 40 ... doesn't time fly!
I knew I was old when a nice young man offered to carry my shopping bags for me ...
Except I was only in my 40's at the time ... and I would have taken the cutie home with me except, sadly, Mr Catscan might have objected.
