This one takes me back to one summer in the 70s

I started smoking at 18, and quit at 41. I had my last cigarette at the same time as my first heart attack. It's hard to quit, but to sound cliche, if I can do it anybody can do it.

This reminds me of happier times

To my knowledge, I've never received a senior discount, and I've never asked for one. To be honest, I never think about it, and usually forget I'm old. In my mind, I'm 40.

I keep anywhere from $1,000 to $3,500 in the safe as an emergency/Good Deal fund. Lately it's been closer to the low end as I try to pay off Dr. bills and such so I can retire someday. I don't know how safe it is, but nobody but you guys know I have it. ;)

I have no fashion sense, so I guess I'd be a "no" on those rules. I wear the same style I've worn all my life, a pocket T-shirt, Wranglers and in cooler weather a flannel shirt. I guess I dress for comfort.

When a drunk driver kills a carload of people, would you advocate taking the cars away from everyone not involved? When some nut rents a box truck, should we immediately outlaw box trucks? Trucks are killing machines you know. Blame the truck, not the driver.

It depends. I can watch a good Stephan King movie, but The Walking Dead gives me zombie dreams. Very disturbing dreams. I like a good comedy, western, historical type movie, and I'm almost embarrassed to admit, I like old musicals and a good rom-com.

I ask him not to call too early on the weekends. Part of the problem is, he's in a different time zone and he doesn't think about that.

My brother-in-law drives a milk truck (semi) and hauls from the dairy to processing in the middle of the night. For some reason, he thinks it's ok to call me on my day off @ 5:00 in the morning. "Oh, sorry. Was yuh sleepin'?" "I was trying to" "I'll call you back later" "Might as well talk now...

It's really not that easy. It's illegal to sell to someone who is mentally ill. Until we face the fact that things like gender confusion are a mental illness, mentally ill people will get guns. But at least we didn't hurt their feelings.

So do cars, trucks, hands, feet, knives, bats, sticks, television, drugs and poor parenting. You can't ban everything. We have to fix the root problem. we have to figure out what causes these people to want to kill. Notoriety, a desire to be somebody and mental illness seems to be a theme in...

I have a Blackstone outdoor griddle that I use. Easier than cleaning the kitchen. When I cooked in a restaurant (weekends) I made chicken fried bacon. coat it with egg and cracker crumbs or bread crumbs and drop it in the deep fryer for maybe 2 minutes. Probably not healthy, but it's the best...
