Tax preparer? What is that? Do you mean my H & R Block (or more likely, Turbo Tax) downloaded program for about $39.95? I am the tax preparer - and admit that my tax situation is quite simple.

My goal was far more simple than these -to escape the toxic workplaces in my career. It worked, everything else since that sorted itself out. Life is good. Really darn good!

The latest medical-related breach I was notified about came from one of the medical insurance companies, Cigna. There have been dozens in the past from Banks, Credit Bureaus, IBM, D.O.D., retail stores, Ford Motors, etc, etc, etc. Ditto what was said about freezing your credit at the biggest...

By "radio" I interpret to be the entertainment sound in modern cars. Even the cheap vehicles seem to have much better sounding amps & speakers than older times. For favorite oldies, there isn't enough wattage to totally submerge me but I'll take what I can. No where near the booming jack-wagons...

I've seen posts from new retirees stating that they took their alarm clocks out onto the driveway and smashed them into bits with a sledge hammer (or equivalent destructive device) to demonstrate their new freedom. Some say it was quite healing & invigorating.

Some, like me, adjust very quickly. Never looked back, starting the next day. Some require time to adjust. Give yourself that transition time, we're programmed to "go, go. go" but then - "now what"? How about testing some "you time" for a change?

That fed taxation of SS in comparison with other incomes is pretty dang convoluted for a dummkopf like me. Yah, I know there are calculators to kinda guess SS tax damage on your return, but start making adjustment or reduction of this/that and the whole result goes whacky. Doin' my best to dink...

Ya might consider replacing the electrolytic capacitors or find someone who can....

We decided that our credit ratings were not important since we pay cash for everything now. I froze both our files at the big three agencies to (hopefully stop) bogus new accounts against us. No use for these crooked credit ratings agencies unless there's some unforeseen time we need credit...

And even older - this 3 1/2 inch rigid diskette at 1.44 MB started out with only 720 KB. Before that was 5 1/4 “ floppy (truly flexible) diskettes. And who will admit being old enough to have used 8” floppies? Imagine what we would have thought back then to see modern day memory devices and...
