Had a heck of a time with my eyes.

I don’t diagnose eye problems you should see a doctor. I suffered way too long with the pain and redness in my eyes before I saw the doctor but I thought that it was related to my other eye problems. By the time I figured out that I needed to see the doctor I had suffered a longer time that...

For those of you who don’t use a lot of eye drops watch for the expiration date. It should be on every bottle. If they are too long past the expiration date then they probably won’t be full strength any more, I just bought a two bottle pack at WM and they were past the expiration date. I don’t...

    Still a coffee rookie

I think that I will let the machine do my dripping for me. I won’t get into grinding beans or anything. Although I don’t mind learning some of the finer points about brewing a good cup of coffee so that I can get a decent taste I won’t go to enough work for it to be the best anyone ever tasted.

Do you think retirement was what you pictured to be?

We bought our disabled Son and his Wife a house through hud in S.W. Missouri about 15-20 years ago. It’s really a nice home and just right for the two of them and their pets. Hope you get what you want.

Do you think retirement was what you pictured to be?

I lived most of my life as a working man but at least I really did live it. I had a motorcycle and buddies that all learned to scuba dive when it was just a pioneer sport. I fished and hunted when there were still enough fish and game to enjoy the outdoor sports. Then I was still fairly healthy...

    Still a coffee rookie

There is a whole world of different things about coffee these days. Probably would have been easier to find out what I like if I had got into serious coffee drinking about 50 years or more ago. I really appreciate everything you said about coffee. Thanks!

Had a heck of a time with my eyes.

The corners of my eyes were what were itching. The inside corner of my left eye and both inside and outside of the right one. When I would rub the outside corner it felt like there was an eyelash or something under the eye lid. If it gets bad see an eye doctor before it gets to that stage.

Had a heck of a time with my eyes.

Really hope they work well for you! I have had a lot of problems with the eyes since the map dot dystrophy started about two years ago. The Pataday had been helping with the itching and burning before but it got out of hand this time. I waited until mine got really bad and then had a hard time...

    Still a coffee rookie

I probably waste a lot of coffee because I only drink about a 16oz. styrofoam cup at a time. The coffee maker will keep remaining coffee hot for a while but one round of coffee does the trick for me. I have it in the mornings some times and I take a big afternoon nap on other days and have it...

Had a heck of a time with my eyes.

Saw the eye doctor yesterday and he said that I had a problem with allergies in my eyes. He put some drops in to help get started to get rid of the symptoms. He told me that there is a new eye drop that can be bought without a prescription now that is stronger than what I had been using. It is...

    Still a coffee rookie

I’ve got a Hamilton Beach 12 cup drip type. I put ground coffee in the basket and pour water in and hit the button and it does its thing. I keep it set on bold. I don’t know but figure that is for a stronger cup of coffee. It was cheap and I will probably never make over one or two cups at a time.

    Still a coffee rookie

I asked a few months ago about why some of my cup of coffee was bitter and I got some very good information about the sweetener that I used. I let the coffee cool a little now before adding the Splenda and it works better that way. I am learning slowly how to make a better cup of coffee. My Son...

Zachary Taylor died on this day

Yes! 1850 seems so long ago but my Great Grandfather was with the Wisconsin 6th and was wounded in his right hand at the second battle of Manassas. Although he lost use of that hand he kept a journal in the 1870s when they lived in south central Kansas. That history meant so much to myself and...

It won’t matter once we’re gone.

That is what my SIL said that my recently deceased brother wanted. Seemed to be so lacking because of the fact that there was no ceremony. That kind of leaves the family feeling like we are left out in the grieving process. At least that was what it was like in my brothers case.

It won’t matter once we’re gone.

I asked my wife if the original receipt had the plot number listed and she said it did and it was five rows back instead of what he was pointing out. That person has since died so we have no recourse but to accept where we wound up at. Like I said it won’t matter anyway.
