    The "Farm Effect" and allergies.

I have been trying for quite a while to find something that will help my husband's ecxema. Anyone have any ideas about what works best? I tried ointments/moisturizers, etc. but no real change. We live in a very dry environment (Phoenix) so I know that is a problem. Since he sneezes a lot, I...

A deliberation: Not thinking about it...

Water is a big issue; you have to hydrate every day - water 'moves things along'. Also, I researched and these are a few things that can cause constipation. seeds (indigestable), bananas (esp green), white bread (stick with the whole grain), dairy products (yogurt, cheese, ice cream (oh no!)...

    Looking for a good browser

I don't have extra tabs actually on the screen. Just see a Firefox starter page, as usual. However, when everything slows down and 'loading' just goes round and round, I go to "Task Manager" and see that there are a lot more Firefox open (like sometimes 6 or even 12!!) I close them all , but...

    Looking for a good browser

Need suggestions for a good browser. I've been using Firefox for a pretty long time, but often I get multiple versions open at the same time (using up space). I delete the 'extra' versions (from Explorer) but they just keep appearing. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks.

    Bulging and Visible Veins

I have one on my calf, and it really aches when I'm on my feet a lot, and the pain gets worse. I have found that an ice pack helps the pain, at least for a few hours. I was reading up on things that may alleviate the pain and came across something called H-Varicose Veins Formula - a cream...

Thanks. Cold winters thee I'm assuming. ;-) Guess I'll be in AZ forever. Tho I'm from PA (Philly area) I just can't go back to snow, ice, humidity.

Which state is best to retire in

Haven't those areas experiences a LOT of extreme weather recently (like floods). It's hard to find a 'perfect' place -- I don't think there is one. I'm in AZ and prefer heat to the extreme weather that occurs most places in the US.

Which state is best to retire in

Where in Ohio do you live? I've learned that crime is pretty bad in some cities there, but then again where ISN'T there a crime problem? THAT's where I want to live....;-)

Anyone here live at a 55+ community near Phoenix?

I live in a 4-story elevator building (55+) in Glendale (just east of Sun City) and like it. We had to move from our (2nd floor) condo in Phoenix when my husband couldn't handle the stairs anymore. It's a nice place, secure (gates), pool, secure entry, but that's really all it is. They do have...

    Not that anyone is asking

I get relief from tingling or numbness with electrolytes water -- magnesium, sodium, potassium. I take the powder a couple of times a week, mixed in water and it works really well.

    Living only on social security

It would be really hard for my husband and I to live only on our social security. What a world huh?

    Living only on social security

Oh my, that is not good. Did you pay into the SS system while you were working, like we do in the US?

Will people leave Florida after Hurricane Helene?

I told my husband years ago that I would never live on an island or a coastline (or near it). I live in Phoenix AZ and yes, it's very hot in the summer, but we have no real devastation-type weather. Our 'rainy' season (monsoons) aren't real destructive. I'm originally from PA and I will...
