Bulging and Visible Veins

I don’t have any. Ron has a couple, on the back side of his leg, knee area. They don’t bother him, but we keep an eye on them.

I have large veins in my arms, but they don't concern me as a risk because they've been that way for 30-40 years. It's easy to draw blood for tests. The nurse always has a cotton ball ready and slaps it on right quick, expecting a lot of prolonged bleeding after a stick, but that never happens.

I've always had rather prominent veins on my hands, and they're getting a little more so as I get older. Ugh.

A few months ago, I noticed what looked like a varicose vein starting to get larger on the front of my left calf, so I darted out to buy compression socks to nip it in the bud before it gets worse. That was a blow. I'm not in a relationship and am not seeking one, but lemme tell ya: Nothing makes a woman—well, this woman, anyway—feel LESS sexy than wearing a pair of compression socks. :ROFLMAO:

Of course, my younger daughter has to wear them for her job as a nurse, but that's different.

I don't share your opinion on compression socks.

Meanwhile there are so many compression socks, stockings and pantyhose which are quite attractive, even sexy, in many different colors, with patterns and even with Swarovski crystal elements.

Well, you're a man, and thus we are approaching the topic from two completely different viewpoints, so it doesn't surprise me that we have different opinions. And I was careful to specify that this was, in fact, a personal opinion.

Yes, I am a man.
And I'm wearing them for 37 years, more than half of my life.
Without them I'd have developed venous ulcers (wounds on my ankles) decades ago).

Do you have bulging veins? Where on your body are they?
I have one on my calf, and it really aches when I'm on my feet a lot, and the pain gets worse. I have found that an ice pack helps the pain, at least for a few hours. I was reading up on things that may alleviate the pain and came across something called H-Varicose Veins Formula - a cream. Good reviews, but you can't always believe them. Just wondering if anyone suffering from this has found a 'home' remedy or something else that works.

I actually did find some pretty cute compression socks on Amazon, @George1959. :) I thought I was stuck with plain beige.
