The truth about women who Live Alone without a man

Well that's pretty clear. I don't think the AI added anything better than your own reasons. Nothing wrong with it but neither is there anything wrong with someone still wanting a live-in relationship in old age. Your truth is your truth, whatever it may be. There is only something wrong with...

    A flower a day ...

Best flower pic I've gotten in a while. Taken in late afternoon light of a lily backed by purple leaves of Eucomis bulbs.

    How Did You Sleep?

Same here. Don't think I ever sleep more than 5 hours straight before I get up for a potty break. At that point I take two 50 mg Trazadone pills and those help me get the amount of sleep I prefer.

Salary Needed To Live Comfortably in Major U.S. Cities

Depending on what you value and enjoy doing life doesn’t require a keeping-up-with-the-Jones salary. I have no budget for being seen a certain way and no longer have any desire to travel. My biggest splurge is on plants for my garden. Library books and walking my dog are free. That leaves...

    How Did You Sleep?

I’m right there with you regarding the number of hours I want to be at full strength the next day. I tend to range between 8.5 and 9.5 so with only 7 last night I am yawning a lot.

Bed, Bath and Beyond to bring back physical locations

ME TOO! We’re all complicit in driving away brick and mortar shops but I sure would rather check things out in person than trust my ability to gauge a product with only 2D images and words to go on.

Okay fair warning for all, tomorrow'ss

I’ve had biscuits (US type) with gravy and liked it fine. I’ve never put gravy on roast, more often it goes on mashed potatoes. Though drippings from the meat can moisten the roast. Growing up I did dip cookies in tea but no more. Now I just eat the cookies along side of the tea.

What on that plate is a hush puppy? Growing up hush puppies were shoes.

    Great & Meaningful Quotes

Here is the last stanza of a poem written by a lady Jungian therapist named Katherine Whiteside Taylor in her 80s at that time who was also the teacher of a class attended by many including myself and a young woman who became my girl friend. Basically they are words of advice to a younger woman...

Salary Needed To Live Comfortably in Major U.S. Cities

N My ten years younger brother is not as well off in spite of working and investing all his life. If either he or my stepson or both need it we will let them park a trailer our side garden. My stepson should be able to provide better for himself but he lost what should have been a lifetime...

Salary Needed To Live Comfortably in Major U.S. Cities

Agreed. We can afford to live where we do because we bought in so long ago and don't have extravagant tastes. I prefer the simple joys in life and absolutely hate air travel. At 73 I find an hour or sometimes two is the longest I can endure sitting in the car to drive, but we still get down...

Gardening for nature, walks with my dogs and the books I’m reading.

It occurred I might be able to conjure some photos from some home gardens in Australia by searching Flickr. Here are some for you @Pinky The photographer for most of these goes by Tatters, a nick name for Tatiana Gerus who says this in her about information: Not sure about the...

    Great & Meaningful Quotes

Or for those who prefer a foreign label: Hinduism: "This is the sum of all duty: do nothing to others which, if it were done to you, would cause you pain" (Mahabharata 5, 1517). Buddhism: "Hurt not others with that which pains yourself" (Udanavarga5,18). Confucianism: "Do not impose on...
