    Learning How To Live Life

This doctor said it should be at least 3 - 6 days before I start feeling better. I feel okay when I sit out in the sun to soak up the warmth. Sleeping is impossible and wake every few minutes to have a big cough. I am seeing the doctor to get the results of my chest X-ray, hope it's no too bad.

Posted ads for my garage sale online

I've given up having Garage Sales. Some people turn up about an hour before it will start, looking for the best deals. And sometimes I can wait all day without any sales. I've decided to put all my stuff into boxes and am having Red Nose call to donate everything. Red Nose raises awareness and...

What are you wearing today? just a fun thread.

Not feeling too good this morning, up all night coughing and blowing the nose. My pyjamas are not too even because I was too lazy to hem them up and just cut off the legs and now one leg is shorter that the other, who cares?

Do you think you have an accent?

My Uncle said that when he came out to Australia and went for a job interview, he was asked," are you Welsh? He said yes, but he actually came here from India and didn't want them to think he was Indian (which he wasn't). The Welsh accent is a little like the sing-Songy way of talking, like the...

    Anzac Day tomorrow 25th April

Beautiful words Warrigal honouring your family. Although our family arrived in Australia in 1946 my father always attended the Anzac marches and when he retired, he used to lead the choir at our local Anzac RSL Club at the dawn service. My son also plays bugle at a local school at their Anzac...

    Learning How To Live Life

Saw the Doctor yesterday and it looks like I have a viral infection. Have to have a chest x-ray and a viral blood test. Put on a puffer and several tablets. Let's hope they do the trick.

    Learning How To Live Life

I know what you're going through. I have gone through 2 boxes of tissues and just opened a 3rd box. I can blow, blow and blow my nose and it immediately fills up again. Where does all the mucous come from? I have an appointment to see the Doctor t'morrow, did a COVID test which is negative. I've...

Geez. Now I have to learn a whole new language?

My son bought for me for Christmas last year a Mezzaluna Chopping Set. It turns out, a high-quality Acacia wood cutting board with a stainless-steel double blade Mezzaluna knife, perfect for cutting herbs, garlic and vegetables. I was grateful but I am so used to using the good old knife.

Glad you're feeling a lot better. I on the other hand have had a bad 3 days after getting the dreaded 'flu. Started off with a dry cough which slowly got worse. Woke up on the second day after only a couple of hours sleep. As I live alone I only have myself to rely on, so I took myself off to...

    Things you won't find anymore...

Remember when the usherettes in movie theatres used to wear neat uniforms, and the boys would walk down the aisles selling peanuts, sweets and ice-creams?

I am flying to Melbourne tomorrow morning - 14th April

Hope you've taken lots of warm weather clothes. Melbourne is a much colder place than where you have come from.
