look up housing authority in your town

Not to discourage anyone the waiting lists are anywhere from 3 to 8 years depending on where you live, it's a sad state of times a lot of seniors need homes not enough housing that's why there is a silver tsunami unfortunately there's some seniors that are homeless that's the reality never hurts...

Well let's see, having someone to share my life with just enjoying life , life's too short to be alone as long as that person has a good personality and is positive thinker no drama I think that would be a good life, and of course traveling would be great .. And great health.. not necessarily...

They ask you if you want to remain on the list but more then likely you'll start all over again ..plus some of those housing authority apartments will want you to reapply at a yrs end from when you originally put your application in Some from year to year is what I'm saying..hope it helps

Very well said, Especially the part about if you don't know anybody now, you will in the future That will be affected by it. I never thought I would be homeless ever.

Really ..wow ..but here it's not just women living in Vans and cars going to get away from everything it's people living on the streets here too because they've lost half their income from somebody passing away and the rents are so high I feel sorry for them I really do it's a sad situation

Homeless seniors are now called the (silver tsunami) more and more unfortunate seniors homeless because of rising rents , it's happening in every state in the usa😔

Very true that's how it works. And of course seniors on a Fixed income can't afford regular rents anywhere from 900 to 3000 a month in some places. And then if you add on electricity and gas And, of course rent raises yearly in some states don't have caps on that. and food of course, Waiting...
