I’ve always admired the IDF. The citizens of Israel and the IDF have always been in one accord about who their enemy is. But the United States seems to have a split personality about fighting Muslim jihadists overseas while supporting their organizations here at home. I wonder how veterans feel about this??

Keep up the good work. I don’t always read all the posts, but I pick and choose the posts that interest me. Just like the one here, I never knew Israel had the sub they do. I remember when Israel bought a lot of our older style jets and still use them today. The F-16’s we sold them years ago are being bought back by the U.S. to be used for training.

The U.S. is considering allowing Lockheed to sell F-35’s to Israel. I’m not sure if I agree with that. The F-35 has a lot of advanced technology on it that our other aircraft doesn’t have. Of course, the U.S. could ask or require Lockheed not to install some of the latest technology.
 
Someone may have brought this up, but …
Israel is believed to have a substantial arsenal of nuclear weapons and the means to deliver them. Iran, and others bent on destroying Israel had best be careful.

I completely agree, especially with the word “Never”. Islam has been fighting Judaism since day one, and will Never change. What to do?

BTW - Israel is reputed to have a large stockpile of nuclear weapons, and Iran would no doubt deny it, but may be working on the same. Oh my.

Yes.

Shortly after the founding of the current state Israel in 1947 by the U.N., a coalition of surrounding Muslim countries attacked Israel and waged war on them. That war lasted 10 months and at the end of it Israel not only controlled their own territory but 60% of the area proposed for the Palestinian state.

In 1967 the surrounding Musliim states of Egypt, Syria and Jordan again waged war on Israel and that war lasted only 6 days. By the 6th day Israel had destroyed all of Egypt’s Air Force Bases and most of its planes and controlled the entire Sinai Peninsula. Then all the countries involved signed a cease fire agreement. The Muslims had 20,000 casualties and the Israelis only had 1,000.

In 2005 Israel withdrew their occupation of Gaza and left the country to the Gazans. But instead of developing their economy via agriculture, fishing, tourism and other advantages of being on Mediterranean Sea , they spent their time lobbing rockets over into Israel. On October 7, 2023 Muslims of Gaza breached the border with Israel and committed some of the worst atrocities this generation has seen.

One might ask why a small backward country like Gaza would attack the most sophisticated military in the world, but religion is a powerful thing and the Muslims believed killing Jews and other infidels was their ticket to Paradise.

Thanks RR. As you and most of the old gang noticed the change in my post are not as animated but somber in nature. I'm still me having graduated Wikipedia University with a doctorate in Youtube. Jerry O and Erins passing hit me pretty hard. Stinky is arranging my moving back home. Why you wonder? It's stressful enough watching BCFR taking my friends out of the front door Code 3 to the hospital but it's heartbreaking seeing the White BC ME's vans pull up to the rear door after midnight when everybody's sleeping. Well I am going to scarf down some pablum with a 2% milk chaser. Always a friend.

BTW. Have you seen the New Metro-North Kawa9A trainsets in test phase to replace the Kawa M8 trainsets yet? They are testing from New Haven and being turned at Shell Tower to avoid the AMTRAK, CSX and CP shared 2 track corridor from Shell to NYP. Virtual limos on rails. TTFN.
