Oh bless you Elsie.. I don't really have any needs normally, but this last week I've been suffeing from what we think is either RSV, or pneumonia.. I can't get to see a doctor due to long waiting llists , but having listened to my symptoms in a phone call the doctor has prescribed Antibiotics, and inhalers of Clenil Modulite to prevent a flare up of Asthma occuring due to the coughing..

I've been pretty poorly with this since last Wednesday... not eating, suffering from sleep apnea , horrible coughing fits etc......and super tiredness..

However I am not in any way disabled *touch wood* .. other than this which came out of the blue and has flattened me

i thank you for thinking of me tho'. and your kindness 🧡
How will you get the meds.? Do you know of anyone who could help you out, if ever necessary. Being sick, too much activity on your part could make things worse. :(

Maybe subconsciously you truely regret your hair was not cut an inch shorter, and that regret is coming out in your dreams. Ya just gotta wait till you think the time has come for another cut. Think happy, happy thoughts about your present cut until then. 😁
That's the weird thing, I really like my current cut and it's not bothering me that much, it being just a bit long. But maybe you're right and it's a subconscious thing. Seems strange to have such a minor thing sink into my subconscious. Life is so weird. :/

it's alright I have the meds , they were sent up to the nearest pharmacy...I had to go and get them myself, I've been taking them for 4 days now

It's been a most memorable day. My lady took me out to lunch and wined and dined me. Wined & dined being a euphemistic phrase, we don't drink alcohol. "What are we celebrating?" I asked, "just a thank you," she replied, with a loving kiss. I must have looked quizzical, for without a prompt she continued, "You've cleaned, cooked and taken care of me since I had surgery last August, and you have still managed to put a few hours in at work, so today I'm going to spoil you."

We dined out at our favourite pub/restaurant and we travelled there in style, our carriage being our 1947 MG. After parking the car and heading for the entrance, a voice called out, "hello" and with it my wife's name. She turned and saw a former fellow paramedic that she once worked with. He told us of his retirement lasting just three months.

He is no longer in the ambulance service, but, like me, he has found a rather good niche that keeps him occupied. He too was being treated to lunch, his escort was his adult granddaughter. We left them and headed into the pub. Being well known there we were fussed over and enjoyed good food with equally good service.

We struck up with a couple at the adjacent table, they were most complimentary about our attire, make that our vintage attire. They left before us, and as they were leaving I said to the fellow, "when you reach the car park, look to your right, I bet a pound to a penny that you can pick my car out." He suggested one or two cars and then headed out with his lady. A couple of minutes later he was back.

"Oh man, your MG is just amazing," he said, with a silly grin all over his face. The old car has that effect on people. Now we are home and whilst I prepare for work tomorrow, my wife is in her cabin working on her vintage, long skirt suit. It's reassuring to see her resume her love of sewing. Her recovery, albeit slowly, continues just as her surgeon said it would.

Hi, kids. I'm back. It was a lovely warm and sunny day. Funny thing...DS admitted today that he, too, was downright scared last night when it was storming. Wow. He and his husband live in an old part of the city where there are many very big and very old trees, but none came down in his in-town neighborhood.

DD finished up the patios in the back with the power washer, and I planted the stonecrop in oblong pots. They'll get planted in the ground after monkey grass is moved, but right now it's all in pots next to a grouping of sedum to remind me not to step on the sedum while I'm crawling around working on monkey grass. The weather is supposed to be dry for the next three days...if "they" can be believed so maybe another foot or two of the monkey grass will get moved. Looks like that will take all summer long because I just can't work like I used to :(.

Then there's the weeding...

I really don't much like the "tired" part of being old. Really don't. At least everything doesn't have to be done all at once.

Today would have been my dad's birthday (I wasn't totally confident but I googled it and happily the internet can find anything, even my dad's birthday - though probably helps to have a not-too-common name and been born in a low population state). I am trying, but with weakening resolve, to convince myself this is NOT an excuse to eat sugary food. It is very hard since in the old days there would have been cake and ice cream on this day. I am really longing for those candy things that are used to spell out Happy Birthday and hold candles, probably they'd be too hard for my teeth nowadays.

My cat's being extra clingy today, I'm not sure if he wants something or if he got worried because I had my suitcase out earlier. I was experimenting to see how many days of clothes I could squash into it, as prep for my trip to Italy at the end of next month. The tour itinerary has Venice in the middle of the days I'll be there, and I don't know if Venice would be a bad place to need to do laundry, surely people do laundry there, but with water all over the place it seems awkward, I wonder how they deal with sewer water. Maybe this is part of travel being broadening.

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: I'm sorry for laughing... you aren't really serious are you, wondering if people do laundry there ?

You can wash your clothes in a washing machine like everywhere else..or if you have no access to one, use the laundromat.. there's loads of them in Italy..

Speaking up on behalf of all tourists anywhere, finding a laundromat is not always easy. In Brisbane, I had to search and travel a fair distance from our hotel to find a place to do laundry. It ended up being down a dark alley. With Venice being known for their water issues, I can understand @honeynut’s concerns.

Wow you got up early , I have a plumbing job at 9 am and 12 afternoon so got up now as it takes about 45 minutes or so for coffee to kick in as ridiculous as that sounds but tonight since nothing tomorrow it will be 11 hours of sleep unfortunately I wind up getting up 1 or 2 times .

How much sleep do you normally get ?

they are easily available in Italy... in every town.. including Venice..I lived in Northern Italy, I know

Hi everyone...it's racing towards Noon..it's overcast and 45 deg...

I had a bad night last night.. lots of coughing, and sleep apnea, seems as tho' I'm not as nearly on the mend as I thought it was... only got 4 hours sleep...

Today is my final day of antibiotics, so it's worrying me a little bit now...
However I have nothing planned for today so I can just sleep if I need to...

I called and cancelled an apointment for tomorrow where I had someone coming to the house... couldn't possibly cope with visitors right now

Anyway, have a super St Patricks day...

I had another dream about having my hair cut last night. Strange because I don't have recurring dreams and this one wasn't the same dream, but the same theme, getting my hair re-cut (I've just had it cut a couple weeks ago).

I get it because I'm very happy with my hair, this new cut, cept it could be maybe an inch shorter. In waking life, it's not bothering me that much and I've just thought I'd get it a little shorter on the next trim. I don't know why I keep dreaming about it. Weird.
That inch is on your mind.

Good morning, Invisipeeps. It's gonna be a sunny day but cold and windy. We probably won't hit 60.

Happy St. Patrick's Day, y'all.

There's a lot that needs to be done today, but I don't feel like it so I won't.

@hollydolly I'm even more convinced now that you've got pneumonia. Running out of meds? Should you call the doc again? Stay upright. Breathing is easier if you're not lying down. I tell you all this because it's the mother in me, not because you don't already know it. Mothers nag. It's what we do. Take a jacket. Don't forget your keys. Have you got a handkerchief? Call if you're going to be late...

you're absolutely right Gigi..it's much easier for me to breathe if I stay sitting upright ..altho' the cough is still bad...

I won't get anywhere with the doctor.. until after the meds have run out.. so I'll have to wait...

We had tornado watches yesterday but nothing but rain and wind. I hope all others on here are now safe and well.

Do not have any plans for today. I will just be doing chores in the house and watch a DVD later.

My middle finger has healed and now I can use it. It was swollen and sore after removing a wood splinter a few days ago.

Good Morning, Everyone and Happy St. Patrick's Day. 🍀

I am post shower, post make up and having coffee with boyfriend (and my peeps here), just now.

We had thunder storms and a flash flood warning last night, but all seems good so far - at least what I can see from my windows - the world looks to still be intact.

So, you know, that's good.

Considering the last couple of days - as long as the world looks to be still intact it may be just that.
