I'm so sorry to learn this, but unsurprised. In my experience, very few cheaters are a one-and-done.

Infidelity would have been an unforgivable deal-breaker for me (as it was for you). People don't unintentionally slide into affairs, they claw their way in, knowing full well what they're doing every single step of the way.
Oh I never thought for a moment the last one was the only one....What I didn't realise or expect was that he would be so bold as to take one of his tramps to MY house

Our big thought this year is we are deciding whether to buy a new car or not. We have 2 vehicles we drive - one is 18 years old - a Ford Escape the other is 10 years old -a Caddy- both with low mileage as we don't drive much. The Caddy is a cts coupe that has a tiny back seat so if we take someone to dinner or whatever we
take the Escape - which currently has a parasitic drain on the battery that our mechanic has had a time trying to find. Husband starts it up every day to be
sure it is ok. Any thoughts are really welcome!
if money is no issue, I would just get a new car and enjoy it.
Personally, I hope I am broke when I die.

Yesterday was a bit of a mixed bag. We set off in the morning to catch the bus to the city, but it never came much to the annoyance of the people waiting for it. The next bus was due in 30 mins, but it arrived 15 mins late. Anyway, we finally reached the city, but had little time to have lunch before going to the theatre. The play - read on for this - ran for longer than we expected, and then guess what, the next bus back home was cancelled. This meant waiting another hour, so we went for a meal at the adjacent shopping mall. We went to a Thai restaurant which was busy, but as it turned out was OK, but not very good.

Caught the next bus home, and that had a bit of drama too. First, a very drunk man staggered on to the bus and having managed to find this bus pass, fell over and scattered the contents of his pockets over the floor - coins, banknotes, etc all over the place. A lady who obviously knew the man helped gather everything up and shoved him into a seat where he fortunately fell asleep. Off we go. Coming out of the city, a police car stopped a bus and two officers jumped on board. One checked down the bus and the other checked the upper deck. Obviously didn't find who they were looking for. They smiled, wished up a good evening, and drove off. We eventually got home.

OK- the play. It was 'Me and my girl' and was performed by the youth musical society. This is an amateur theatre and music group with senior and junior sections. The seniors are, I recon, mostly late teens.
It was absolutely FANTASTIC. A large cast, spectacular costumes, wonderful acting, and a professional band for the music. It was hard to believe that this was an amateur production. This would stand up against a good number of professional shows that I have seen. The audience would appear to agree too - A standing ovation, and 3 curtain calls. This was musical theatre at its best.

Are my eyes open? Yes? Ok, then. I'm awake.

We were supposed to get torrential rain last night. Not a drop! According to the weathernerds, we'll get it tonight. Sure... We desperately need rain to wash away the pollen coating on everdamnthang. And I discovered that it's not measured in ppm, it's measured per cubic foot. I guess that's why we can actually see the stuff in the air. In any case, it's too darned much.

Guess where I'm gonna go this morning? If you guessed garden center, you win 🥇:ROFLMAO:

@hollydolly When I was little I thought that was called Welsh Rabbit. When we had it, not often, it was on a Sunday. Is this your treat for Mother's Day?

If it's morning, why is it dark outside?
funnily enough some people do call it Welsh Rabbit.... and no not a treat for Mothers' day I have it often....

It's 12.20pm glorious sunny day....🌞🌞🌞

Good morning. Had lovely long walk. Was out 3.5 hours in beautiful weather. Took a book with me to read by water. Had to leave as dumb woman started feeding birds right by me and I didn’t want to get crapped on. So I left and got crapped on anyway! Luckily only a spot on my jacket not my hair! Was walking over 2.5 hours. Today my feet are swollen but I’ll be okay. Don’t know what I’ll do today.

Well we got a lot of rain overnite, and more coming later today...Morning all...slept fairly well. still sore from weather issure but what the heck....no plans for the day yet, need more
coffee....40F going only to 50F today....take care,.......;)
Ditto on the coffee. And being sore, maybe from excessive pollen. And overnight rain, that seems to be over.

The only difference is that my high for the day is expected to be in the low 80°'s.....nice and soupy/humid!

Well that was inconsiderate! Too bad you couldn't both enjoy the day by the water.

I guess you were in "her" spot. 🙄

Good Morning, Everyone 🤗 :coffee: 🌻

I have spent the last couple days absorbed by Animal Crossing (and watching Riverdale). No one will understand this, but I caught a flea! Finally! critterkill-tiles-06.jpg

Now I've collected all the artwork, insects, fish and fossils, my museum is finished. 🥳
This game is really engrossing and relaxing.

Today will be the usuals; husband is at work, I will walk dog, do household stuff, hang with boyfriend and maybe mop the kitchen floor. No, I'm declaring it - I will mop the kitchen floor today.

Hope everyone is feeling good this day.

Well, the weeds were busy growing while we were gone! I have started my getting out before breakfast and tending an area. The pollen counts are supposed to be lowest from 4 AM to 12 PM. I like to get out before breakfast at 9.

There's one weed that I normally would have pulled up. Since I didn't it is getting a flower stalk. Looks like it will be orange. I want to see it so I let it live. I may live to regret it if it multiplies but it looks pretty so far.
I just went out and looked closely. No, it's not orange. It's yellow like a dandelion. It's one of those mega dandelions. I'll still let it flower.....for now.

Our official pollen count for today is just over 11,000. It has finally started raining. Before it started, we were driving up a street with sidewalks where there was a runner on the sidewalk whose footprints showed up in the pollen dust with each new step. Ugh.

Good morning! Sunday, March 30th. Coolish day, with an expected high of 63°. A light sprinkling overnight and perhaps a bit more this morning. Maybe a repeat during tonight's overnight hours. Periodic light rain nicely washes the world and waters the plants - so much better than deluges.

Four straight days of entertaining and supervising grandchildren brought back my (apparently repressed) memory of the extraordinary relentlessness of parenting. Unlike when our three were little and I mostly soloed on the front lines, DH & I tag-teamed, but nevertheless...

We enjoyed it and love our grandkids, but could feel our age. When TGS went home last night, DH & I agreed to limit GK visits to two days in a row, other than emergencies.

I'm happy for a clear schedule today. Plan to hang out here for a while, go for a walk, maybe run a load of laundry, and spend the late afternoon/evening reading and watching a movie.
