How is your day Today? Chat about your plans and achievements 2025....

It's been a few fun, busy grandchildren days at my house. Older grands (DD's children) are on spring break so they were here Weds-Thurs. DH & I took them out for lunch, shopping and arcade game playing yesterday after Mexican take-out, movies and a sleepover on Weds.

One year old grandson (DS's baby) is with us today and we'll have his 3 year old brother tomorrow or Sunday.

Our grands love being here, we love having them, and their parents are delighted to get frequent breaks. 😍

Having a strawberry/banana/blueberry smoothie. This little Ninja gadget I picked up at a yard sale last year sure was worth the $5! Rosie (vacuum) is rolling around gatherin the dirt & sand (a daily job with 5 doggos). I reckon I'd best get the laundry finished so I can help DH tomorrow. He put up a huge greenhouse and is trying to get it all going. Hopefully the pollen count is down then and I won't be sneezing my fool head off!
You are the second person who I've known who has named their vacuum cleaner!

The owner of the other forum that I belong to leaves "Kevin" in the middle of the room. Her hope is that she will eventually get tired of walking around him, and actually use him, then put him away. So far, that plan is not working very well! 😂

I call my Mom's answering machine "Jarvis", since he takes calls and passes along messages to her! ☎

I named mine after Rosie the Robot maid on Jetsons. Fitting, since she IS a robot.

Here I am. Plumb wore out, as we say in the South. I planted stuff. It's hot (82F), and I finally broke down and started wearing my sun hat because...summer heat.

Done out there for today. It'll take me until morning to cool off.

I hope no one names their robot vacuum “Hal”. I would be suspicious of its motives and plans (Space odyssey)

In this neck if the woods, I partnered with a nursing student today. I think she will make a good nurse, intuitive and a quick study.

Now home with my feet up.

@Granny,,, Here in NWPA, I'm still wearing a winter coat when I walk the dog. !!

@holly,, thankfully,, no one is close enough to see in their windows.
No I didn't mean see IN the widows... just with their drapes closed.. and their lights on...they always look really cosy, whether thay are or not...

I suspect people say the same about mine when they see the lights on and blinds and curtains closed at night ...

Clouded up and g0t dark and sprinkly around Noon. Before long this ramped up to rain and thunder.

A few hours later the skies cleared and the temperature rose to a balmy 68F. Still damp, but I got out to enjoy it after opening up the house a bit. Sky is completely clear with a light breeze.

Well dangnabbit!

Apparently my charge card is having a fine old time in Dubai. Two charges were attempted to be made with my number an hour ago but were declined by my bank, thank goodness (they really do keep on top of fraud and I appreciate that). Now my card has been cancelled and I won't get the new one until after Tuesday. Luckily, I have another charge card to use in the meantime but it doesn't get "rewards".

Last time this happened several years ago, it appeared that the card was out in California trying to drink and buy jewelry.

Why does my card get to live it up and have a good time and *I* have to do all the cleanup? Hmmmmph..... *I'd* like to go to Dubai....<whine, whine>

I used the card three times today, at the post office, at Hobby Lobby and at Dollar Tree. I wonder if it was hacked at any of those three places? Last time I got hacked, it was after buying gas at 7-11. I haven't bought gas there since.

Well, peeps should leave their blinds and drapes open so we can see inside. If they'd do that, then we'd know that we like our own place better than theirs.
It’s rude of them not to leave their drapes open. I love to see how others live. Of course, the main living area in my house is at the back so others can’t see in. I don’t practice what I preach.

My little dog loved to stop and look into the yards as we went for a walk. We were partners in peering.

I read that too fast, and it didn't go in my eyes the first time. Thought it said "We were partners in peeing." I went back to read it again because I really didn't think you'd pee in somebody else's yard...

mini cyclone winds bearing down since last night - increasing strength now - me and the dog as "snug as a bug in a rug"? not really left the bedside window open with very fine mesh on outside - until I felt nice sprays of wet on my right cheek - yea the wind was strong enough to blow a 'surf' like spray through the mesh - bed changing duties today perhaps?

my front porch has turned into a lake and I lost me wellies years ago [thought they lasted for ever?] only escape route now is through 'back' door and sixty foot garage into other surrounding quagmires?_

Went for a motorcycle ride. Saw a bunch of birds including American Kestrel, Northern Harrier, pheasants, Sandhill cranes, ducks, swans and tweety birds. I heard some woodpeckers (Pileated?) hammering away in the distance as well.

Some may be wondering what tweety birds are. Those are a classification of birds too small or too similar looking to other birds to be identified w/out professional help, with some exceptions. Wrens, creepers, and nuthatches are examples of tweety birds.
