Proper Breathing not Necessary

Good morning. Here's the thing - starting a thread does not give ownership/editorial rights. It is not "my thread". Although most of us try to stay on topic, any other user may post whatever they wish, and it is natural for a thread to bounce around and touch on topics totally unrelated to the OP. That's what makes it fun! I'm sure you understand this. Others, maybe not so much.

Have a great day - I'm headed to the hospital for another CT scan of my heart and that pesky aneurysm on my ascending aorta.
My son and I were just talking about this very subject yesterday. I do completely agree, threads are conversations and like any conversations, they flow naturally. However, they have topics for a reason, they exist to discuss a given subject.

Having said that though, I will also say that, if they get too far off topic, it is easy enough to bring them back around simply by restating a new aspect of the topic. If that doesn't work, the thread may have run its course as is also natural.

(Hoping your scan goes well. ) :)

I've just learned that there is a specific type of snorkel for lap swimming. The "breathing tube?" is placed at the front of the face rather than the side, which, while not great for underwater exploring, is good for lap swimming.

Sometimes I see young kids using those types of snorkels while swimming in our community pool, and I really frown on that because at their age, they should be learning how to breathe properly. I only recommend snorkels to individuals who simply can't manage lap swimming without one. Hence, they either swim laps with a snorkel or they don't swim at all.
