I Treated Myself To A Pair of Bluetooth Headphones

Upgrading from earbuds because:
~I got tired of earbuds popping out of my little ears.
~When I'm listening to music while doing chores, sometimes I put my phone in a thin pouch or my pocket. Certain movements or accidently touching the phone causes songs to change or get paused.
~The wire on the earbuds sometimes gets caught on something, especially if I'm actively cleaning or reorganizing

So my son let me borrow his JBL headphones which are very lightweight and comfortable. I'm very happy with the sound, so I ordered a pair for myself and I got them yesterday. Nothing like listening to music while being "plugged up" or in this case "unplugged". :D🎶 My son and I are audiophiles and we love being able to hear little nuances in music that serve as "ear candy" and are not always detected when listening using speakers.

I have a 2nd set of that model. The 1st. set broke apart where the earpiece pulls down to adjust to my head size. I like the soft cushion & sound quality. I'm partially deaf so just about any sound works for me :) My 2nd. set has lasted since I adjusted it to fit my head, then epoxied that area on both sides where the earpiece pulls down to adjust.

I have 2 different pairs of bluetooth headphones and neither is comfortable to wear for very long.
The latest pair is noise cancelling so they hug your head closely and make your ears sweat. They sound great but...

A wired pair I own are more comfortable but of course I can't use them with a bluetooth only phone.

Sorry to find out you have a hearing problem Knight! Hopefully it won't get any worse. My son has had his JBL for a year. He even sticks them in his backpack to take to work and it looks like he has a lot of stuff in there. Hopefully mine will last even longer...I take good care of my stuff. I had bought a pair of wireless headphones a couple of decades ago. They had a great range...my husband and I walked outside the front of our building with them (we live in the back). But they didn't last that long. I think I paid $130 for them. So for the price and sound quality, I think I got a bargain with these JBLs.

I've been wearing these a few hours a day because I'm exploring how so many of my favorite songs sound plus they make it easy to talk on the phone and move around while doing chores. I wear thin turbans in the house and put the headphones over top, so I don't get sweaty ears. I didn't realize there are bluetooth only phones! Who makes those?

Do the headphones work well with glasses? My first issue with any headphone. You're a talented musician, which in my experience look for different things in sound than someone like me. I'm glad you're happy with them. Enjoy.

When I was flying for United, I used a Bose headset after others I had used previously. I found Bose to be the best quality because they were much clearer and if you ever hear air traffic controllers speak, you definitely want clarity.

Here's a sample of pilots and ATC communicating.

I thought the same thing when I first read the post :).|

I'm glad the headphones are working out well for you @OneEyedDiva . I always stick with the Soundcore (Anker) brand but JBL's are also great as is the price !
Thank you Mark. I have an Anker portable battery charger but have never heard of Soundcore.

Thank you @Knight. Also found out they charge pretty quickly too.

If I leave the headphones on for too long, then I might start feeling the pressure from them resting on the glasses, but I just move the glasses up a little higher. That does not interfere with how I see out of them. Thank you for the compliment❣️ You're right, I think we musicians do listen to music in a more analytical way. I am absolutely loving the "new" things I'm hearing in music I've had for decades!

Another thing I found out when going to YouTube "University" to see how to charge these things, is that I can go to settings in my phone and it will tell me how much battery life is left in the headphones (and my JBL Clip). I think that is so cool.

@Nathan @MarkinPhx @Knight @Tish @OldFeller

@Paco Dennis I'm glad you are enjoying your headphones.
@Pappy I like a lot of bass in my music too and I'm satisfied with these so far.

We bought a pair of wireless headphones at Best Buy and (now I know) paid ten times too much for them. Should have asked Diva first.

Even set at it's tightest they're way too big for my little noggin so I fold up a sock and put it on top of my head to take up the slack. Lookin' cool as I jive to my doo wop!

@Della
Can you return them?
