A night spent round the fire

It was one of my priorities that we create a fire pit so we could sit around the fire at every opportunity!

We sat around the fire with our cocktails, then got hungry so I made a quick meal of gyosa and basil pasta which we ate around the fire!

Love this life 💕

Thanks folks! There’s lots more we want to do…put up string lights, Ron wants to actually construct a fire pit rather than using the premade one, we want to pave the gravel area, add more landscaping etc, but all that will take time.

Meanwhile we have a functioning fire pit area that’s pleasant, the kids and grands enjoy it too, plenty of room for folks and yes, as @Jace mentioned, welcoming to our neighbors who sometimes wander over to join us. 💕

Reminds me of the youngish couple that lived next door
several years back, they scraped a hole in the ground (clay)
And built a fire pit, one eve he asked me how I like it, and I
said well it is fine, except your fire is directly below the tv
cable line!!!! he filled it back in!!! :p

@Ronni .. Nice that Ron wants to build one.
But...the idea of being able to move it to different positions/areas and decorate around.it accordingly ..
is what I like

P.S. Did you get the one you have thru Wayfair...saw one similar advertised 👍

No this was on clearance at a big box store called At Home.

My neighbor had one in a cage on wheels that she would pull into the driveway. She bought it years ago. There are burn cages available now but I haven't yet seen one as good.

At Home has filed for bankruptcy
so you may get more bargains😉

get Bought out by some other company
But..retain their name.
